Japanese web television drama developed by Fuji Television for Netflix. I found it while browsing around, I got hooked! I love that Netflix has more shows and movies that are Asian. I hope more people will see them and get the feeling that Asian dramas are awesome! I love how Kiritani Mirei is called "ugly" and unfashionable considering she is a model and always wear nice clothes..haha
The drama shows a lot of aspects of life and reminds you of a lot of thing you might go through, both men and women!
I highly recommend this drama if you have Netflix!

För de flesta så gifter man sig endast en gång och för många, men inte alla, är detta en dag som man drömt om sedan länge. Vissa vill lägga allt på den perfekta klänningen och andra kan ha vad son helst. Men när man satt sin fot i en bröllopsbutik är det lätt att man ändrar åsikt!

Man hittar inte en klänning på en dag, det finns många att välja mellan och när man väl börjar är det bra att vara någorlunda förberedd.

Jag råder dig till att kolla upp lite saker innan du börjar leta på allvar. Spana in div internet sidor där du kan se stilar, modell, färg och detaljer. Och var öppensinnad. Den stil du minst anar skulle kunna passa dig som handen i handsken!

Jag har tittat på TLCs Say Yes To The Dress som en tok! Min blivande man har till och med ifrågasatt om det är det enda programmet på tv i vårt hem! TV programmet har hjälpt mig förstå mer om hur man väljer och vad man kan förvända sig. Det har även gett mig insikt om modeller, utseende och prisklass. Det är klart att Kleinfeld är inte vilken butik som helst och jag kan fortfarande inte förstå att vissa lägger upp till 1 miljon kronor på sin klänning!

I mitt huvud hade jag en budget på 7000 kr när jag började tänka "Brudklänning". Men ju mer jag såg på Say Yes to The Dress och sökte på olika sidor insåg jag att jag behövde utöka min budget. Mycket av det jag gillade kom till ett högre pris. Jag tänkte också på att jag kunde hyra men sedan fick jag höra en del historier och kände att det inte var min grej.

När du sätter din budget, Ska även underkjol, slöja, div accessoarer räknas in? Eller kommer du ha ytterligare en budget för det?

Men klänningarna är inte gratis, det finns många olika prisklasser så var inte orolig!

Tänk ut en budget och ditt max tak! När du väl testar klänningar, fråga alltid pris innan om du har en strikt budget eller ett max tak. Är den mycket dyrare än du tänkt dig och den är PERFEKT så kan det vara svårt att släppa taget!! Jag säger detta efter att ha sett Say Yes To The Dress.. somliga tar lån för att ha råd, men seriöst...skuldsätt sig inte för en klänning!!

Spara bilder på vad du gillar när du besöker butikerna. Det underlättar för personalen att hitta en klänning för dig. Men som jag skrev innan, var öppensinnad och säg att personalen gärna får ta fram något de tror skulle passa dig. Det är ändå deras jobb :) Och har du en budget, säg det innan personalen plockar klänningar!

Boka tid när du inte är stressad, gå dit relativt nyduschad och avslappnad. Man köper inte sin brudklänning på 5 minuter.
Om ditt bröllop är inom 2-5 månader kontakta de butikerna först för att se vilka leveranstider de har. Det kan också skilja per klänning så säg till innan du testar så du vet att du hinner få den. Flera butiker har leveranstid på upp till 9 månader!!!

Det är inte alltid lätt att välja på egen hand, så ta med en eller två personer som står dig nära. Ta inte med för många, när folk får nys om att du ska gifta dig kommer många vilja följa med och välja ut klänningen till dig. De må vara familjemedlemmar och vänner men när det kommer till att enas om en klänning är det inte så lätt. Ju fler kockar desto sämre soppa! Det sker att de strider för SIN EGEN vilja istället för vad du vill ha! Och kom ihåg, det är DIN klänning och DIN dag! Och det ska vara kul att testa klänningar med för många åsikter kan det sluta i katastrof.

Innan du går dit, tänk på om du ska ha en slöja eller inte. Har ni en i familjen? Har du en nära vän som gift sig som kan ha en? Eller ska du köpa en egen. De flesta butiker har slöjor som passar klänningarna de säljer. Om du har en egen, ta med den så du vet att den passar klänningen.

När du hittat din klänning, jag lovar du kommer att veta när det är!
Nöj dig inte bara, du ska vara helt SÅLD!! Det är då du vet att du hittat rätt.
Helt enkelt...WOW känslan ska var där!

Prata med personalen gällande storlek, det är många som vill gå ner lite till sin stora dag och du kan vara låst till en storlek när du köper. En skräddare kan göra mycket men det kan kosta rejält om det är många ändringar som ska göras. Var realistisk och sätt ett rimligt mål.

• Leta stilar - Balklänning, A-linje, Sjöjungfru etc.
• Googla bilder eller spana in Say Yes To The Dress på TLC eller Youtube.
• Tänk ut vilken längd, hals, axelband/axellös, typ av material, rygg etc.
• Spara bilder på vad du gillar (Det underlättar när du ska testa)
• Tänk ut en budget (och hur långt du är villig att sträcka dig)
• Kalkylera ev. övriga kostnader - slöja, underkjol, accessoarer.
• KÖP INTE en klänning online! Testa i butik först och gå till en skräddare och ta mått. Att köpa online är en risk! Det finns många som gör det men jag har hört få som varit nöjda.
• Leta efter butiker - nära eller långt bort. Läs recensioner om den så du kan få en uppfattning om service och utbud. Men det är klart varje upplevelse är annorlunda.
• Ring eller skicka e-post till div butiker och se om de kan leverera i tid till ditt bröllop (Utifall du endast har några månader kvar)
• Boka en tid till olika butiker. (En tid är ofta 1,5 timme)
• Ta med dig någon som kan ge dig smakråd. Men ta inte med för många, de må vara familj eller vänner men när det gäller brudklänning kan de ha (för) många åsikter, kom ihåg, det är DIN klänning och inte deras!
• När du sätter på dig "DIN" klänning ska du få en WOW känsla!
• Var noggrann och realistisk med din storlek. En skräddare kan göra mycket men inte allt!

I heard this song a few weeks ago, I had no idea it was for the movie. And that it was Zayn, I could hear it was Taylor though.
Still a good song, what do you think?

Well well... who is gonna see 50?
Not me, I was heavily disappointed with the first movie, so I will wait until it comes onto a streaming channel.

My new addiction is this one, I hope for A LOT of romance between Kimutaku and Yuko-chan!
I mean it has been 13 years since Pride, I hope they bring a lot for us!
The drama is totally different from Pride but it's a drama so a lot to look forward to!! I'm so excited.

Wedding dress hunt

We have decided to set the deal and get married!! I'm so happy to have found the perfect man! I cannot wait to become his wife. And so my wedding dress hunt began! To get some inspiration I have watched Say Yes to the Dress so much my soon to be husband wonders if there is any other shows on TV..haha
I have to say it helped me a lot. Although I cannot go to NYC and get that experience, it sure helped me to get an understanding of the whole procedure - How do you buy a Wedding dress? All the steps. Internet also helped me figure out more. I have starred myself blind of various pictures of dresses and styles. And I want to admit, it's is a jungle and it isn't something you do over night. If you are to get married, at least where I come from most women purchase their dress.
To get the dress of your dream, be out in time!! For some bridal shops it takes months to get your order. And some might not carry a lot in stock and can even get sold out!
When I went there I was asked "When is the big day?", I said my date and she counted the months and said.. Okay that should be ok. But just so you know, it's best to dress shop 8-9 months before.
I was like..ehm... ok?! But seeing Say yes to the dress, they seem to say the same.
Once again, it depends on what you want...

As budget may differ be sure to save and look online a lot to see what you can choose from in your price class. To see prices online can give you an idea of what kind of dress you can afford. DO NOT go to places and try before you have set on a budget (including all the extras)! If you try a "dream dress" but it is out of your league you won't be able to get it out of your mind and have difficulty to find a dress.

In my mind I was like 1000 USD is my limit, I don't care if it's cheap, I know some girls wants to spend 5000-Unlimited amount. But to me, it is not "in" the dress. It's the man who is to be mine and the people around me. There are pretty dresses that cost less. Still I had money to be able to afford a dress for 3000 USD in case I got carried away! (I've seen Say yes to the dress where the bride says her budget is 3000 USD but in the end shops a dress for 12 000USD!!!)
I can therefore the show also changed my mind slowly to stretch my original budget. The more dresses you see it sorta affects your mind.

I had read blogs and posts of places who sell wedding dresses in Stockholm, there were a lot more than I knew. I booked an appointment at the one who carries most designer dresses.
But the week before I found a cancellation slot at a store where I had looked a lot at prior. It became my first and only appointment at a bridal store.

Afterwards it feels like it was meant to be, that cancellation appointment and all, it was meant for me.

I overheard another woman in the store saying it was her only visit too, she had looked online but not been able to find a store with dresses she liked nor in her price range. She also said she felt insane for buying at the first store without even trying others and this dress called her name! Her friend also said she knew several friends who had purchased their wedding dresses in this store. It made me feel even more satisfied with my choice.

The store I went to is called Lilly. They sells bridal gowns by their own brand. I'd say they start at 1100 SEK and goes up to aprox 12 000 SEK.
Then to get the final amount we need to add cost for underskirt (YES you need one unless it's already attached to the dress), possibly a veil or accessories. And not to forget alteration fee.

To the appointment I took my mum with me as it was in last minute. I also wanted my bridesmaids and dad but it was too short of time. My dad can also be very picky so I think it was good I only took my mum! haha
During my appointment I tried around 7-8 dresses in total. And after have seen the TV show all I can say, either you find it fast or you don't. On the TV-show some women only tries 2 dresses before buying. And others tries 5-6 before deciding. Or 100+ and never finds one.
YES, it is okay to be picky to a certain degree. I mean I guess most of you, just like me will hopefully only marry once. And if you are to get a dress, you want the WOW factor.

In my experience, as I got to see and try the various dresses on, I could sense "this is not the one" or "this is more what I'm looking for but..".
And then we got to "I don't like the back", "I don't like the cut in front", "I don't like the material" etc.
Since I had in mind what I liked it also helped the staff at the store to pull dresses closer to what I liked. In 1,5 h you do not have time to try the whole store. So it helped knowing kinda what I was looking for but still being open to suggestions. The staff who helped me was super kind and was good at her job.
In my case I knew I wanted the dress to make me look slimmer (who doesn't!?), No Mermaid fitted. As I'm not too girly girly I wasn't looking for a gigantic Ball gown, but I still wanted to feel like a princess so A-Line was the type for me. A bit poofy but not over the top.
Both Ivory and White works depending on style and overall look, I liked some embroidery but not all over the dress especially not all over the bottom.

The most important, you should LOVE the dress you buy. It should not be a buy just because. A second best is NOT the best! It is one day, and ONE DAY ONLY.
I got it with the one I chose, as soon as I put it on I was like "This is the one".
No kidding, it was truly, this is my dress!!
I went passed my original budget for a dress, choosing one of the most expensive in the store..haha
And yes, I, me, myself paid for the dress. But I still bought a dress on the "cheaper side".


To sum it up, if you are to buy a Wedding Dress remember:

1. Search for styles - Ball Gown, A Line, Mermaid, Empire or Sheath/Column
   Pictures or search for Say Yes to the Dress on Youtube
2. Decide on length, neckline, sleeves, fabric, embellishment, back... 
3. Save pics of the styles you like
4. Figure out a budget (and how far you can stretch it)
   Add all costs - veil, underskirt, other hair pieces etc. Just in case, a veil can be super cheap or deadly expensive
5. DO NOT BUY a dress online, it might look cheap and say custom made, but I have not found many being happy with their online purchase. Then I'd rather suggest you go take a trip to China and make a tailor make one for you!
6. Search for shops near or far (also read reviews about them...)
7. Call or email and ask to see if they have dresses they can deliver in time (in case you only have a few months to go)
8. Book an appointment to try dresses (an appointment is usually 1,5 h)
9. Bring someone close who can give you advice, DO NOT bring too many. They might be your family and friends, but too many can also make it more difficult to settle on a dress, in case their opinion matters a lot to you.
10. Get your WOW factor, it would be devastating if you would need to buy a second dress.
11. Be sure on the size, if you are to slim down, set a reasonable goal!

The world of instant food

In the pack we received last Friday we besides the goodies I showed yesterday, we also receieved all of these!!!!!!!!

A bunch of instant noodles, microwaveable rice and dried laver with green tea.

Yes, you can get some of them here, but not all!

One of my darling's friend send us all of these.

I really wanted to try the "cheese" flavour of buldak, you might have seen several videos on Youtube when people challenge to eat this noodle.

This one comes with cheese, so it might be a bit less spicy.

Then we also got a new one, to me... Tan Tan Myeon.

I like it when eating in Asia at a restaurant but never tried instant.

I tried it last Friday because I was so curious and yes, it was DELICIOUS!!

We also got "Spagetti", I have never tried it, and lately I have been really keen on it, especially as it's instant but they are trying the "western" flavour. And it has been around for years.

We also got some "jajjangmyeon", Shin ramyun and Jin ramyun.

As my darling is not good with spicy ones, we got mild flavour of the Jin Ramyun.

A small kind Happiness and well be eaten well over time, not to often as we need to think of our diets but are sure to be eaten within the next couple of months ^^

Some yes, we can get some of the items here, but we have noticed that Shin ramyun is not as spicy unless it's sold directly from S.Korea. They have produced some kind of "Western version" that is less spicy. Also, retail price here is not a joke... in Korea you get a pack of 5 for the price of 1 here!!

The rice is not a joke either, in Sweden you get two for the same price of the pack of 10 in Korea!

Goodies from Korea

Last Friday morning it rang on the door.

The postman delivered a super big parcel to us.

These are the personal goodies I wanted, we also got foods.. instant ramyun.

Anyway these are some of the goodies I really wanted for some time.

I'm so happy to have received.

I cannot wait to try them out!! ^^

We spent the weekend away and when we came home yesterday my darling made us this for dinner.

Delicious shirmp pasta.

I'm so proud of him, he has really improved his cooking skills a lot since we met.

Also best part is.. I have lunch box today ^^

The happiness that comes in small portions and filled with Love are the best!

My new entertainment is the Korean variety show called Mr House Husband.

It's a KBS reality show where we follow 6 men doing houswork and parenting.

It's so hilarious to see the difference and the talks between them.

Some are so good, I told my darling to be more like some of them.

I enjoyed the cooking, my darling replied... why the hassle? You can just buy it at the store..hahaha

Some of the episodes has also given me some tips of cooking.

I want to try out the sausage mix and rice paper ^^
I'm not gonna do proper sausage but ingredients can be used for other kinds of food!

Too bad we live in Sweden, it's hard to make kimchi, it smells too much :(

It looks so delicious, I wanted to grab some through the screen.

I ate dumplings a few days ago, I want more... I want to make them too ^^

Curling for the very first time

I tried curling a few days ago, for the very first time.

Wow it was more difficult than I thought.

We did not get a lot of practise which is needed, curling is more about technique than physics.

We did not have a lot of time to play, but it really made me want to try it out more, maybe a class or several of them ^^

We'll see what I can find ^^

La Famille Bélier

I bought the dvd almost a year ago, not kidding.
And I was supposed to see it while being on sick leave from my surgery last year. However for some reason that never happened!
I ended up seeing it a few days ago, better late than never I guess ^^
I enjoyed this movie. It is a few French movies that I like.
Or at least that has been released with Swedish/Eng sub!!
It's like a lot of Asian movies maybe, only the weird ones hit the big screen.
Anyway i liked this a lot. I really recommend this movie.
Also Louane is such a great singer!! :) The reason how I discovered this movie and her was because her songs was played in a store and through an app I discovered her. By "recording" the sound the app tells which song it is!! So awesome, a great discover!

Story

Proper milk

I saw this on FB a few months ago and I wanted to try.

However the super market that sell this fresh milk is on the other side of the city, maybe 15 min with the underground so not so far but I do not really go there a lot.

I went there the other weekend to meet up with a friend, so I saw my chance to try it.

As it's "fresh" it is needed to be consumed within 24 h. Not a long time. It was not the most cheapest either but I had to try.

I'm very happy with the choice, still not sure when I'd try it again... I won't travel all over the city for milk! ^^

Going West!

Good morning!

Today I'm escaping Sweden and head west to Norway!

It's only for a few days, I hope it will be nice. I'm bringing work with me... hope for the best!

福袋 (Fukubukuro)

This could be great but it could also be a disaster!
I have never been in Japan on New Years so I have never had the chance to get one.
I'm talking about the Japanese Fukubukuro (Grab bags) or Lucky Bags as they are also known as.
Most stores sells them, they come at different prices depending on brands and items.
Clothes usually cost 10 000 yen (10 800yen w tax) and some also comes at 5000 yen.
You usually knows one or two items at least but the rest is a surprise.
As said in the beginning, it could be AWESOME but it could be a disappointment so be sure when buying.
I heard Apple had these in Japan a few years ago, I'm not an apple fan but the bags were awesome, they cost around 30 000yen but you got things worth 70 000-150 000yen!! IPod was the usual one, but some got IPads and MacBooks! as well as great headphones, speakers etc. Worth every single penny!!

This year after seeing videos on Youtube, I wanted Pokemon, Starbucks, Cecil McBee, Sanrio and Samatha Vega.
I thought Ingni and Lowry's Farm would have had been nice but after seeing the bags I was disappointed. And those two brands are among my fave!!
Also, note that quality is not always the best, some clothes stores make special items for these bags but sometime you get awesome things too... it's a lottery!

I hope that some day I will be able to get one ^^

New Passport needed...argh

The thing I hate the most is to get a passport, I mean there is a photo that is needed to be taken :(

I HATE HATE that. Also now I'm have a lighter hair colour so the passport photo will not really match. lol

The reason why I need a renewal now is because of work, not too bad but still, I have to renew it much earlier than I wanted!

In Sweden we go to the Police Station to get the passport... yes, criminals to the left and passport to the right. No just kidding.

It's a special Police center for passports! Anyway I booked slot to have it done, it should be smooth. However to collect it is another, last time it took almost 3 hours!!!

How hard can it be? receive, sign and leave?!

Latest addiction

My latest addiction to TV shows is Say Yes To The Dress.
TLC is my new fave channel. it has so many weird shows but for some reason interesting!
My fave of all of the shows is the original from NYC and Kleinfeld. It's insane what people pay for a dress. I mean it's ONE day and the dress is not the whole thing!! Imagine what more you can get for the money rather than just ONE dress?! But sure if you have the money be my guest.
You could probably take a flight to China and have it custom made with the same details but for way less!! All incl. Hotel, flight etc. To be honest, I had no idea the Wedding dress industry was like this and how much money people spend. But then again I have never been married so...
And maybe it's because it's TV and the US???

The one below, i think it's Atlanta..what can I say but OMG.
I thought finding a Wedding dress was hard. But it seems being a bridesmaid can be even tougher.
I think it's cool how the staff went around with this.

Lion

On NYE day my darling and I went to see this movie starring Dev Patel called Lion.

The movie is about a five-year-old Indian boy gets lost and ends up on the streets of Calcutta, thousands of kilometers from home. He survives many challenges before being adopted by a couple in Australia. 25 years later he sets out to find his lost family.

It is based on a true story and an amazing story. I really enjoyed this movie.
Everyone at the cinema was crying their eyes out while watching. It was very well made.
I can recommend this movie!!

Hoptimists

My darling and I found these at the design store right before Christmas, we both fell for them.

But because they were made in wood, they were MUCH more expensive than the "normal" ones. But these were the pretty ones.

My darling surprised me with the little one of Christmas, not did he know that I had bought one for this B-day.. but since I love him more, obviously I bought him a big one. *Just kidding*

It's so funny we bought the same kind but in different colour, we sure match ^^
