Crossroad

I kinda start to get the same feeling I had when I was about to graduate high school.
What am I suppose to do now... Get a job? What kind of job can I get?...or study? Master? Where?
It feels like I'm at a crossroad and wonder which way, but when thinking about it, it's not up to me..

My dream would be to attend 慶應義塾大学 - Keio University, for a year, studying Japanese language. But that seems far away, even to attend Grad school there would be awesome. I mean, I wouldn't mind spending 2 years on 日吉キャンパス - Hiyoshi Campus.
But then again, I need funds to support myself, and I'd need to get much better at Japanese. So I'd probably have to spend 3 years there, 1 year language school then 2 years Master studies. However 3 years is a lot, I would be 28 when I'd be done with it all. And at that time, I should probably think of having a family, good job etc.
Which right now feels far away from the lifestyle I have.

Anyway... I need to settle on what to do, time is ticking

URBEATS by Dr Dre

As I love music and I always carry my mp3 with me, I of course, finally, had to get a pair of Beats by Dr Dre.
I know some people asks me why I don't use my mobilephone as mp3, however I listen so much to music my battery cannot support it.
Also I can have more songs on the mp3...and it's not heavy so why not ^^

Anyway, just want to recommend Beats, I know they are huge already, but there is a reason for it.
I want a pair of headphones too, but only for use inside which kinda feel like a waste as I don't really need it.
To have the earphones is enough to me... ^^

They are one of my best buy of 2013, I know it's still January, but like I said, I need my music.. I love great sound ;)

Already shipped

Today when I woke up this morning I got an email from Yesasia, they already shipped my order I made yesterday afternoon!
I cannot believe that they are that fast, but then again I don't complain ^^

So....all I need to do is to wait until the parcel arrives ^^

Kimchi craving

By having a kimchi craving I know I'm Korean somewhere deep inside ^^
There are so many kinds, my fave are normal sliced cabbage kimchi, radish kimchi and cucumber kimchi.
For now I settled for the normal one... and I also bought some instant noodles, so you can guess what my dinner today will be :D

It's not cheap but what can you do? after all I'm in Sweden.....
Still wonder how it could be so cheap in Canada, consider it takes longer to fly from Korea to Canada than Korea to Sweden....

I said this morning I'd buy some stuff when I got home...
I kept my promise :P
I bought both Arashi's Arafes dvd and Shinhwa's 2012 Grand Tour in Seoul - The Return dvd.
Both Korean editions.... Although I wanted to support Arashi in Oricon, it's sooo expensive and Korean version is still official. and keep them popular in Korea ^^

I cannot wait until I get them... I know dad will watch Arafes with me ^^

Extreme food

Guess where you can purchase this gigantic burger?
I'll give you a hint, it's NOT in the US......

This burger can actually be bought and eaten in Seoul, South Korea!
I know... that's not what you'd guess right!?
I saw this photo on FB, Seoul Korea posted it, and was amazed too... and now I know where to go this summer. Not that I will be able to finish it, it's more to see it in IRL.
Also I got to say, it looks delicious!! Not like a McD add and then when you get the burger it looks nothing like it. I guess that why I haven't visited McD for food for many many years.

Been walking around with my left overs from my life in Canada, finally i got some money!
also i got my money back from London!

I'm on my way to school, but when i come home i will order Arashi dvd and Shinhwa dvd! ^^
Better do it before i realise i need the money for something IMPORTANT as my dad says ^^

I found the PV for Ayaka’s new song, “Chiisana Ashiato“ today!

This song is one of the new songs of her upcoming single, “beautiful / Chiisana Ashiato”, which will be released on February 20th. Despite it's almost one month away the PV has been revelead.
This song is being used as the CM song for Shiseido’s ‘MAQuillAGE‘. (various make-up)

I have to say the colours reminds me of Google ^^;; and stuff I watched as a child.
Kinda surprising since, well, Shiseido is make-up and all ^^

Jack Reacher

Last weekend while cleaning my mum found two movie tickets, they were about to expire so we decided to go to the movies.
Last night we went and saw Jack Reacher, the latest Tom Cruise movie.
I had seen the trailer in Canada but the movie theatre was too far away, one hour away and that made me not go and see it, so it was great that mum also wanted to watch it!

Anyhow, it was a typical Tom Cruise movie, not as much action as MI but it was good, there were some scenes I enjoyed more than other. But in all totally worth watching!! ^^
Also it was nice to be with mum, it has been a very long time since we went to the movies ^^

야왕

So the reason why I knew about this drama is because it is based on a manga I have kinda read. I haven't had time to finish it. It's the third part of Daemul.
Anyway...another reason is because of Yunho/U-know :D I think he has become a better actor, so it will be very interesting to follow his progress.
Also since the drama is starring Kwon Sang Woo and Soo Ae, it has been a hot topic....

Kyaaa.... it has been some time since Sho-kun was in a drama so this is happy news!
The drama he will be starring in is called "Family Game" and is a remake of the drama and movie from the 1980's.

ラストホープ

Back home and time for a new drama, lately I have been following K-dramas so I thought it'd be time to watch a Japanese one. Not only because Arashi member Aiba Masaki is in it, although that's a big reason why. However I like the story in general and I think it will be very interesting.
So far I have only seen one episode of the two that aired so far, and I really like the mix of actors in this drama, also the story in itself.
So this will be a fresh start of 2013!!

Plot

She's soon holding her first solo concert in Korea, which I find very strange... I mean BoA belong to first generation Kpop..or maybe we should call her 1,5!
Anyway she's clever to release a new track just before the "comeback" concert.

The song is called 그런 너 (Disturbance), to me it's a quite sad song but I guess it also depends on how you decide to look at it..
Also it surprises me that BoA releases these kinds of songs, to me she does more dance and up-tempo. Of course she has released quite a few ballads in her days, but then again I'm still stuck on her 6th album including Hurricane, Game, Copy and paste...compare to her latest album Only One.
I think I need to update myself to the latest version, but for somehow I feel kinda lost these days because of school.

It's my dads aunts 93rd birthday so the family went to celebrate. it was a nice evening with lots of food ^^
A delicious sandwich with lots of toppings, and a very nice cream cake :)

Long time to see

Yesterday afternoon i went to see a friend of mine, although she has grown a lot since the very first time we met, she's still very innocent yet bright. I guess that's what's her charm points in a way!

Anyway we have known each other since High school, and I'm happy we are still close.
So yesterday we talked a lot about the future, writing resumes, where to work etc. it was very interesting.
it's surprising we are almost done with our education, she's way a head of me too but I'm happy that she has become as successful as she is!

Wonder what the future will hold for us!
Also if lucky we'll meet in Seoul this summer, she said that she wanted to visit the city while I'm there! :)

I saw lots of movies in Canada, and i also managed one in US! still there are so many more i want to see, however the price has gone up since i left Sweden last summer!
it totally sucks, because i don't think it's worth the money!
i can buy the dvd for that price in North America, or Asia for that matter!

i wonder why we have to pay that much for a movie at the theatres!?

Today i had one of the most weird and non-giving class ever.
we all had to do a self-introduction, around 5 min each.
What can i say, but who cares about me?

It's weird

One week ago, i was in Canada finishing my packing~ and did laundry.
Then i had my final meal with my roomies and friends!

it's so weird.
Today was my day off school and i couldn't bare to leave my bed!
i just stayed put for a few hours after i woke up!

Today, once again i slept until late.
Then i went to unni's house, she had made Korean food!

Long time no see

Today i met up with a classmate, we talked about our semester abroad.
To me it felt weird being back and talking about it, i mean 5 months passed so quick.

Anyway, by seeing her also means the new semester starts, and to be VERY honest, i don't want the semester to start, oh did i mention I'm not a fan of my home university?

Tell me something I don't know...

Well... life goes on, right?!
At the moment I feel empty, I guess the PCD kicked in. (Post Canada Depression)
Although I'm happy to be home, it also feels terrible. I miss my roomies, I miss campus and Tim Hortons!
I'm happy I bought two cans with Tim Horton French Vanilla coffee.

My parents are not too happy with me as I still have lots to unpack and all I do is sleeping.
But I cannot change, I'm still in Canada time, or something.

I look at Swedish TV and it feels strange. It feels like coming back from the dead or something, because it feels so new... I don't think I felt like this after Korea but well, not much to do.

However, I wish someone could tell me something I don't know!

English men

I know English people are not too used to snow but this is too hilarious!!

i mean he's skiing on solid ground!!!

oh well it made me laugh ^^

Private plane

Okay, maybe not private, but it felt like it...
At first i wasn't happy about it, i mean to enter i had to walk outside in the stupid cold in Regina.
second it was so small i couldn't even fit my bags in the overhead compartment!and it was full of toddlers who all had to scream in round.

Also, it took 50min longer than with a big airplane! Stupid Air Canada!

My jetlag is here.
I went to bed around 4 am and guess when i woke up... 4 pm!
and the only reason i woke up was because my mum called! XD
And her wake up call wasn't too happy, she told me to go down with the laundry!

so well, I'm still somewhere between Canada and Europe time, where I'm not too sure but i hope it will pass asap!

Seems like classes start on Monday so i need to get into right time zone!

Panasonic フェリエ ES2105PP

Yesterday when I came back home to Sweden, I got some late Christmas presents.
One of the best was from my friend Sayuri. She gave me Panasonic's フェリエ ES2105PP.
What's that you might wonder... well it's a eyebrow shaver and also hair shaver.
It's one of the best inventions EVER!!!!

I'm so happy she got me one, it was my roomie in Canada who introduced me to it and well.. it's a very good gift for women!!! I do wonder why they don't sell it all over the world?!

Also Sayuri unni knows me well... she got me the white one :)

Anyway this little thing well keep my eyebrows stay in the right shape!
Also it also removes other hair, accoring to my old roomie, she said it was good to shave off hair on arms ;)

I got the good seats

At least for my long flight between Calgary and London i got a good seat, at the emergency exit, so no one in front of me!
the guy next to me took quite some space but it was alright.

i also managed to watch 2 movies, and sleep 2 hours.
By staying up all night i got into the Swedish time zone, now its passed midnight so I should sleep!

After 18hours with all the stops etc I'm finally home.
it feels so weird to be lying on my own bed!

I hate Air Canada

So here i thought i had done everything right. i had asked several times and i got cleared.
Then today when checking in for my connecting flight to Sweden i got in trouble!

According to BA, i was supposed to give them a voucher for my second luggage, Air Canada was supposed to give me one which they didn't.
So sent back and forth between the two companies, i got frustrated and pissed off!
i have been calling both companies since October so in my opinion this shouldn't have happened.
Air Canada sucks, no help what so ever! they advised me to pay an additional fee for my luggage to BA then when coming back home call the Air Canada office to reclaim my money!
i told them it's ridiculous and i probably wouldn't see that money again.
I wanted to slap the woman at the Air Canada counter, i have never met such rude Canadian before! stupid Air Canada!

The most ironic part is that, throughout my HRM class this previous semester we have been talking about the difference between WestJet and Air Canada. i never thought it could be that bad. NOW I KNOW why!!!!!!

Back to what happened, i went back to BA, they explained everything again, and i said i had it up to here with this, as i have been contacting their offices around the world for the past two months.
because of my frustration my tears came out, then this head for the BA department came and also he got angry with Air Canada.
In the end he waived my payment for the luggage and let me go.
so now I'm sitting by the gate waiting to board my flight to London!!!

A happy ending of a kind.
Still from the bottom of my heart i hope that Air Canada will go bankrupt in the very near future!!!!!

We ended up having a quick lunch, before i knew it, i had to go upstairs to get my stuff.
We said our final good byes and i couldn't stop the tears from running. i blame Shoko for it.
We have seen each other every day, she has been an awesome room mate and now I'm alone. it's sad, that's all i can say, because there are no words that can describe the feeling inside me right now.

Final lunch!

Before heading to the airport I'll have a final lunch with my roomies and friends.
Not any fancy or so, just down at Riddell Centre, so food court stuff! But it's all about the company. Guess we will be 6-7 people.
It feels awesome to have a lunch with them before leaving, and I know 3 of them will have to run from class to make it as their class ends at 12.45pm and I have to leave at 1.20pm.
Yesterday I said goodbye to Ashley and Felix, and today I first said bye to Maria Paula in the morning before she headed to work, then I met with Hitomi on my way back from buying a stamp. It felt good to have a last good bye with her too, as we only had a small chat the other day!

I'm already crying on the inside, and I want to cry on the outside too but I'll try not to do so.
It has been a great time here in Canada and I have made wonderful friends and have had a great experience here.
In a way it also feels good to leave but in many ways it feels horrible... no terrible!

I know we all talked about seeing each other again somewhere somehow.
I mean 2 of my roomies (they are sisters) are from Dominican Republic and I'd love to go there, my other ones are from Colombia, Mexico and Japan - Also places I want to visit. It's all about time and money. Money with a capital M!

My Mexican friend already left, now it's my turn as the others will stay for one semester, at least.

Stupid travel...

Yesterday I tried to do my online check-in. It worked fine for my flight with Air Canada to Calgary.
But for my long flight from Calgary to London, not well... not well at all!
I called both AC and BA but no luck, so I just have to go to the airport and hope for the best, I hope the flight is not full... please let it be empty :P
I really need my space, either emergency exit seat or..if 3 seats would be nice, then I can sleep on all the chairs.
I mean now is not a season for travelling, last time I went was end of August which meant summer vacation is over, time to go home!
Anyway I pray it will be an empty flight :P

Only bad part, the agent I spoke to at BA told me the flight is delayed which means I'm delayed in London too. However she told me I do not have to go through security again... that means I will only walk gate to gate, and therefore, I will be able to pick up some stuff from Victoria's Secret!!

Right now I'm doing my laundry from New York, one week of dirty socks and underwear is needed to be cleaned!!!
Today I will have a final lunch with a bunch of friends, I cannot believe it's the end (T_T)

Movie of the year

Technically it was released last year but who cares!!
I'm of course talking about LES MISERABLES, the movie! I saw it during my US trip. It was an awesome movie/musical.
I was so surprised how well the actors could sing.
The thing I was most amazed by was that the actors actually sang LIVE when they recorded the movie. Normally they just add the soundtrack but here they had to sing it out!! I want to see it again, my mum said she'd go with me! This is a movie you want on dvd!! ^^

it's less than 24h left in Regina, or at least until i have to leave campus.

i went to the registrar's office this morning and got my transcripts!
i also made pancakes for my roomies.
soon I'm off to see some friends for the final time.
feels weird and sad but it's nothing i can do about it.

Tomorrow I'm going home to Sweden!!

Silver Linings Playbook

As a final goodbye me and Sara hit the movies.
It felt weird, it was the final time we'd hang out. My time here in Canada is coming to an end.
We decided to see the new Bradley Cooper movie.
It was good, weird but good, it got a bit boring in the middle but the ending was good ;)
I'm happy I saw it, also I had no idea Jennifer Lawrence is only 22!!! she looked older XD

Plot

Shopping in Regina

Today i went down to downtown Regina and Cornwall centre for a last time, i think.
I bought two t-shirts, one for dad and one for my brother.
I also bought a cd for myself ^^
I should get my mum something but then again i got her stuff in NYC that she likes so i think she will be pleased with it ^^

Tomorrow I'll go with Sara and chill in a hot tub, then dinner and a movie! ^^

Back in cold Canada

When i flew in over Regina last night i got a chock! It was all white!
And it's super cold here too

What can i say, i have had sunny LA and mild cold in NYC..

This is outrageous!

Surprised

My three week vacation is about to come to an end. It feels like it was yesterday I left Regina, SK.
Yet during this time I have been to Vancouver, Seattle, Los Angeles, and New York.
I have had a wonderful time with both friends and family.
However I also know that as this journey comes to an end so will also my stay in North America.
Within less than a week I will be back home in Sweden. My mum left for JFK, going back to Stockholm, while I'm waiting at LaGuardia for my flight to Canada.

Time passes fast, and my time here is running out on me....
In a way I want to go home but in another I want to stay longer!
Canada has become my home in a way.... And I liked it. Of course there are things that annoyed me too however that's how it always is right ^^;;

I'm sleepy, and I just saw a photo of a SNOWY Regina... Lucky me?!

Good bye

I'm now sitting on the bus on my way to the airport here in NYC!
I already put my mum on another bus, even though her flight is later than mine, she still did not feel confident enough to be by herself so therefore she also decided to leave early!

I cannot believe one week passed already!
Now back to Canada for a few days then flying all the way home to Sweden!

Korean BBQ

Today we had Korean bbq for lunch!
Totally awesome! i so miss it~ told mum we would eat it with dad in Korea this summer!

i do miss dad, it's too sad he couldn't be with us on this trip!

Anyway, Korean food is always good!^^

Last day

Today was our final day in the Big apple.
We spent most of the day shopping and eating delicious food.

It's sad to leave but we have no choice

Today we started off by having lunch in Little Italy, then we walked over to SoHo, followed by upper Manhattan.

All with good foods, sights and shopping.
Now we are back in Midtown and time for dinner, we are at a Japanese restaurant! Very nice one but the waitress sucks!she won't get any tips when we leave!

Anyway the food looks good so that's good ^^

Ground Zero

Today we spent our morning at Ground Zero.
It felt unreal to see the two gigantic holes in the ground.
Also, 11.5 years has passed since it happened.

it's so sad to think of the event that occurred!

If you visit NYC, You must visit the 9/11 memorial.

Lunch

The portions are huge here!
it's not for one person, not for two persons, it's made for ONE family!
It's tasty but the size makes you kinda sick, imagine who can finish it!?

Awesome day

Today we spent half the day in Central park, it was an awesome day.
It was crowded and full of life.
We also headed down 5th ave, and central station before having dinner at Dallas BBQ.

Tomorrow we'll try to get musical tickets, and go to Ground Zero, statue of liberty, Wallstreet, and Little Italy.

Late morning

Today is Sunday and we slept in late, i totally needed it.
We are now going to 5th ave then Central park and lunch ^^

Sightseeing

Today we went to two major sky points here in NY!
it was amazing views~ i really enjoyed it.
we also did some shopping and had lunch and cake in Koreatown!

NYC

I finally arrived in NYC!
i slept for one hour before heading to the airport.
i slept on the flight, and also watched a movie, Pitch perfect.

At JFK i had to wait for my mum for more than 3 hours, as it took time for her to get through border control.

We finally came down to Manhattan and Times square where our hotel is located!
It's a great hotel!!! Much better than i thought!

We headed down to Times square for dinner than back to the hotel as both of us are tired!
Tomorrow i guess we will be hanging around Manhattan!

Final dinner

We were late, LA traffic and public transportation is not a joke.
anyway we finally made it to our appointment and we ended up having Korean BBQ for dinner!
it was a all you can eat, so delicious!!!!
We ate so much i think we will be full for the next couple of days ^^

Disneyland Park

it took a very long time to get there and it was so crowed but we had fun!

i really enjoyed Disneyland, however...it was totally different from when i went there back in 1999!!!! ^^

We only managed to go on four rides, as waiting time was more than 90min for most!
Anyway we had a great time!

for our final day we are off to Disneyland! ^^
I'm totally excited XD i haven't been there since i was 11 years old!

only bad thing, it takes more than 2 hours to get there!!

Little Tokyo

Yesterday we had dinner in Koreatown, today we are eating in Little Tokyo.

We first went to a really popular restaurant, but didn't want to wait for an hour so we walked around. in the end we looked in some shops then ended up at another restaurant. However despite getting seated at once we had to wait 30min for the food.

so thinking about it we could easily have waited for an hour for the other place that is much more famous.

we are now so hungry words cannot describe it~

Shopping

Today we went out of the city to Citadel shopping outlets!
they had lots of stuff, but i only bought a bag from coach and a watch from fossil!
i spent less than $200, i feel proud of myself! ^^

Universal studios

Today we finally went to universal studios!
it was my first time, despite being hang over we had a great time!

i got to go on many rides and see some studios ^^
