The girl with the dragon tattoo
Me and my mum went to the cinema to day and saw the Hollywood version of Stieg Larsson's The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo.
After watching my conclusion is that the Swedish version is much much better. The story, everything...
The Hollywood version had more money to spend and more action scenes, you could sense the money they spent on it.
Howver in the movie there are many changes between the story and scenes which makes difficult to follow.. you need to think alot and the progress in the movie is VERY slow!! I mean it takes almost or even half movie before Mikael and Lisbeth finally meet!
Also as being a Stockholm citizen there are lots of gaps and wrongs.
1. You cannot buy cigaretts in cafés in Sweden.
2. You do NOT take a so called INTERCITY train from Stockholm to the very north and says it only takes 4 h. (Intercity trains are slow here in Sweden...) irl - where they went it probably took much much longer time!
3. You do NOT knock on the doors, you RING THE BELL!! There is no way someone would hear you if you'd knock. XD
4. You would NEVER say "Hey hey" when entering a house.. a Hello? would be more common
Mara acts well as Lisbeth but I think Noomi, who starrs the Swedish version, is much better. I like her acts much more.
Still I'm happy I saw the movie, but it was not worth 120 sek (aprox 15 USD).
If there will be a 2nd and 3rd movie I'll wait and watch them at home on dvd!
