When I was in Japan last month, I happened to watch an interview with Ishihara Satomi.
In the interview she talked about this SP. And I could also see some previews where she, Arata, and Saito Takumi appeard!
The story also seemd interesting yet very twisted. Despite that I found to like it.
It was very fun to see Satomi-chan and Arata-san together again! As some might know, they acted together in Rich Man Poor Woman. Also, I found Takumi-kun more handsome than ever, however his part was a bit so so (^^;;)
Anyway in all a drama that entertained me ^^

Title: 恋 (Koi/LOve)

Broadcast network: TBS
Broadcast period: 2013-Dec-16

Story
On 28 February 1972, on the day of the United Red Army’s Asama Sanso Incident in Karuizawa which kept the Japanese people riveted, another murder occurred at a quiet area for holiday villas not very far from the scene of the hostage-taking. The assailant was a 22-year-old Meijo University student Yano Fumiko (Ishihara Satomi). The victims were a youth who worked part-time for a local electrical appliance store and a university associate professor. The youth was shot dead while the associate professor was rendered completely paralysed in the lower half of his body. The latters’s wife happened to be present at the scene too. However, she was tight-lipped and would not say anything. Fumiko was an ordinary female student who made the acquaintance of a Seisho University associate professor Katase Shintaro (Iura Arata) and his wife Hinako (Tanaka Rena) through part-time translations of a full-length novel by a new English writer. She grew attracted to the intriguing relationship of the couple who lived in a different world from her and fell into a twisted “love” before she realised it. This love would soon crumble at a staggering speed with the appearance of a youth called Okubo Katsuya (Saito Takumi). Fumiko would not talk about her motive and accepted all the charges. She had a “secret” to protect above all else. In the shadow of the Asama Sanso Incident, the case was covered in a small corner of the local news column. Treated as a crime of passion, it soon faded from people’s memories. However, in 2013, more than 40 years after the case, Torikai Mitsuhiko (Watabe Atsuro), an investigative reporter who happens to take an interest in the case while interviewing people involved in the 1972 Asama Sanso Incident, attempts to locate Yano Fumiko and find out the truth. However, Fumiko (Harada Mieko), who has aged after a long sentence, is suffering from terminal cancer. Faced with death, she finally confesses the secret which she has kept concealed in her heart. The tragedy and conflict hidden behind the case are gradually revealed. jdrama worldpress
