Today the news came regarding the annual 紅白歌合戦 (Kōhaku Uta Gassen). The MC for this year will be actress 井上真央 and 嵐.
Inoue Mao-chan will be the leader for the red team and Arashi for the white team!!
It's said that Mao-chan was chosen because she appeared in this year's NHK dorama おひさま (Ohisama) that received very good ratings.

今年の紅白司会は井上真央と嵐！
今年前期のＮＨＫ連続テレビ小説「おひさま」でヒロインを務めた女優井上真央（２４）が、大みそかの「第６２回ＮＨＫ紅白歌合戦」（午後７時１５分スタート）で、紅組の司会を務めることが１９日午後５時３０分、同局から発表された。白組の司会は昨年に続き、嵐が担当する。今年は東日本大震災があったが、「おひさま」は、被災地の福島県などで高視聴率を記録していた。
