The news hit Japan this morning, there will be a spin-off movie of "PIKA☆NCHI" series! It has been 10 years since the previous release.
This, 3rd movie in the series will be titled "PIKA☆★☆NCHI LIFE IS HARD Tabun HAPPY" or "ピカンチ ハープ/Pikanchi Half". Last time we saw all Arashi members in a movie was back in 2007 and "Kiiroi Namida".
The plot for this movie will be about these 5 guys in, now, their 30s. So it's a reunion after 10 years, and still they are running into various problems both with family and work!
However instead as being titled "3" as it's the third movie in the series, this one will be called "2.5". According to Matsujun, the reason for it is that if they'd call it a 3rd release, it would become too high of a hurdle. They want to enjoy it with a more easy "2.5th" position.
In the news it also says that they started with the movie already in April.
Nino also said since it was a sudden start, the way of the movie is kinda simple and easy going.
AND there's one sad thing, unlike the prior releases Arashi will not be singing a theme song for this movie!! (T_T)
"PIKA☆★☆NCHI LIFE IS HARD Tabun HAPPY" will be screened limited to only one venue, TOKYO DOME CITY HALL Cinema, during Aug 1-31, total 4 screenings per day, aprox. 250 000 visitors.
Tickets will cost 1,500 yen each and they go on sale on July 13, at 12 through LAWSON tickets
