What cravings to do you get?

These days I'm craving salt and Korean food.

I begged my husband to make me kimbap (Seaweed rolls)... no no sushi!

I bought all ingredients and he made, why you might wonder.

He roll them better than me..hahahah

Anyway we made a lot so we had dinner, lunch and dinner ^^

On the day we arrived to Korea I dropped off hubby at parents in law so I could go out for some shopping, not wanted to waste a minute.. Shopping was super successful and proved to be dangerous as I could spend so much in so little time 😂😇
When i returned i found hubby asleep. So mother in law made me a snack.. My fave.. Kimbab (seaweed rolls).
Her kimbap are so delicious, it's sad she lives so far away!!

The country of kimbap

This time around in Korea I ate a lot of kimbap, aka seaweed rolls. NO not sushi.

Anyway, I ate home made, kimbap cheonguk and other franchises such as Robot kimbap.

I was happily surprised to try new ones, as in they had different toppings - jeyuk, donkatsu, ddeok galbi etc.

I could eat this for lunch several times a week if they were sold here in Sweden!

It's a quick meal but you get it all - veggies, meat, rice! ^^

Let's rewind

Let's rewind exactly a month back, this is the food that my mother in law had prepared for us when we arrived in Seoul ^^

Homemade kimbap (seaweed rolls - no not same as sushi), kimchi, kakdugi (radish kimchi), and bulgogi.

So delicious, she prepared so much, we did not finish it all..hehe

Kimbap + Ddeokbokki NYE dinner

As said yesterday we stayed at home on NYE.

As for dinner we decided on this... Kimbap and ddeokbokki, aka seaweed rolls with ham/tuna and spicy rice cakes!

I made the rice cakes and my darling made the rolls! He was kind to make my fave with tuna and mayo, and his fave.. normal with veggies and ham!

It was so delicious, I ate so much I almost exploded..haha

Perfect ending to 2015!

Bulgogi kimbap

As I mentioned I also ate kimbap from the "new" Korean restaurant.

I chose bulgogi one.

I have to say, why can't this restaurant be closer?

This one was really tasty! It was worth every single penny!

And NO kimbap and sushi roll is not the same!

Final dinner

I'm so slow... half a week has passed already.

then again the more I think about it the more lonely I feel, as only half a week has passed it means it's 2,5 weeks to go!!! if only it was the other way around!

Anyway, my bf kept his promise and made me kimbap, not that he wanted to eat it I suppose as he left for Korea the following morning but I wanted it, so Mr. Gentleman took out his cooking skills and did a fantastic job! ^^

Although I wish I was with him right now, I know he needs this time to be with his family and friends, especially since he hasn't seen them for a long time. Yes I got to stop to be selfish!! Sorry I can't help myself, I guess more selfish posts will come *laughs* (Like not most posts are..haha I mean this is MY blog)

My almost perfect man ^^

Yesterday after I came home from my weekend trip I saw my bf, he kindly made me dinner!

Korean kimbap (rice/sushi rolls) with ham and tuna.

But he made so many so I have both lunch and dinner today. XD

He was kinda nervous as he "failed" to make me breakfast the other week, or well.. not what I had imagined he'd cook! XD However this time he did well. He also said he'd get better at cooking, we'll see about that! ^^ In the meantime I will have to feed him with nutritious foods ^^

We missed some ingredients but that's how it is, they cannot be found here.

I feel fortunate to eat my lunch box today ^^

I could eat this almost every day!! Next time we'll also make ddeokbokki!!!

Great Saturday ^^

오늘 윤정언니가 울 집에 와서 같이 요리 했음. 떡볶이와 김밥을 만들었다. 넘 맛있었당ㅋㅋ
슈퍼에서 맛있는 초코 무스 데저트를 샀고요ㅋㅋ
완전 좋은 토요일날 되었네ㅎㅎ 캐나다에 가기전에 다시 한번 만나야겠네^^

Today YoonJeong unni came to my house and we made kimbap and ddeokbokki!
It was totally delicous, we also bought some chocomousse at the supermarket for dessert. I hope we can do it one more time before I leave for Canada!!!

Best snack

One of my fave snacks is this..떡볶이 & 김밥 (Ddeokbokki & Kimbap). To dip the roll in the chili sauce is the best (^0^)It's simple to make and it's just awesome..

I wonder who created these dishes in the first place XD

For you qwho do not know what this is..

1. 떡볶이 - Spicy ricecakes, this time I added with onion and noodles therefore it's now called 라볶이 (^0^)
2. 김밥 - seaweedrolls
