I still cannot believe that Arashi is now on the major social medias.
I mean I have been a fan since 2001 and always been chasing to be able to see music videos, tv-series, tv-shows, movies, concerts etc.
Now I can get some of the latest right in my phone at home!
From the re-born, this is my fave version of them all!!!!

Arashi 5x20 - Venue Entry (Do not by re-sold tickets)

As said the rules this year is stricter than ever!
We all know how difficult it is for international fans, but please if you are not a member of the FC yourself, do not buy tickets on the black market this time around.
This post is to save your wallet and you!


For any FC member who hit this time around (all should know by now..).
You will get a QR code just a few days before the concert You will be told where to go at the venue.
When you go to the concert you need to bring

1. ID (Passport/Japanese ID card)
2. FC membership card
3. QR Code

The name you registered your FC membership with must match with QR and ID. And yes they screen every single person who enters the venue!

Multiple fans have said they have seen people being turned away because something didn't match.
E.g. Man's name on the membership yet a woman in line.
A person had 2 tickets and suddenly the friend she was to go with couldn't come so she brought another friend, the friend couldn't enter!

It's hard but I think most Arashi fans are well aware of the re-selling prices! This is JE's way trying to stop it.

Arashi 5x20 / Exhibition - Tickets (2)

We all know the NEW RULES for 5x20 and Arashi Exhibition.
If you are not a member yourself...DO NOT BUY online!
Johnny's have put in strict means for reselling knowing the demand is high. And it's unfortunate for overseas fans. But there is nothing we can do. Please do not waste money on re-sales! Keep on reading.

Basic rules!

• Member can apply for 1 or 2 tickets.
  If applying for 2, the second person MUST be a Arashi FC member as well.
  You need to enter the other FC member's details as you apply. Meaning 1 ticket per person!
  
  
• Member can select 3 dates + one wild card (any venue)
• Member would ballot using the app or FC member website, member would receive an email with result.
• If winning ticket member needs to pay for the tickets by date specified.
• Member would not know the seat until ticket arrives.

How to enter the venue?

You need 3 items and far as it seems.. Staff have check EVERY SINGLE person!

This new, before they had the names on each ticket but it was random checks / if any.

• Ticket (With the FC member's name on it)
• FC Membership card (With the FC member's name on it)
• ID Card (Passport/Residence card)

If any name doesn't match on the 3 "documents" provided, you won't be allowed into the venue!

And you cannot change the FC name for the ticket, your name is locked to the membership.

Goods

For 5X20 it seems you can visit the venues to buy goods like before. 

But for the Exhibition it will only be open to those FC members with tickets to visit the exhibition!

Exhibition goods total cost (if purchasing all goods sold) 138 900 yen! aprox 1300 USD!!

Find the Answer

Matsujun is back for a second season of 99.9 Keiji Senmon Bengoshi. As with the previous season, Arashi provides the drama's theme song, this one is called "Find The Answer".  It's a refreshing song with piano and strings with an uptempo melody.
I was keen ever since the previews came out and I like the song a lot, as for the rest they are good but I didn't fall for any of them. I've missed Arashi, due to work I haven't been able to listen or follow them at all which is really sad!! I used to follow ALL shows, dramas, performances etc. These days barely anything... I mean this one was released a month ago but I didn't have time to listen until today!!!!

「untitled」

Arashi is back with their 16th album!!This album shows new challenges and styles and maybe that's why they decided on the title Untitled?

The title song Mikan (「未完」) showed the new style I love it..I love it so much! A great title track!
Overall I like this album a lot, maybe the best album in the past years. I like most because it's Arashi but thinking of the amount of songs, sounds etc. this is the overall best one in a long time! The album sold 668,000 copies in its first week! I was very keen when I first hear about the duos and trios, we have not seen those! Usually it's solos, when the list came out I was even more keen, as an Arashi fan you know about the voices and capabilities. Sho-chan and Matsujun are my fave but the duo didn't work for me, quite sad. The collaboration with Aiba, O-chan and Sho-chan is a fun song, Bazuri Night, it reminds of a song you'd hear in an arcade hall. A mix with 80's and 90's. And it also reminds me of something SMAP could have had released..haha I so wish to see this live, I guess the outfits will be fun ^^ The others are so so, I listened and moved on...
I love Fight Song and Energy song so I was anticipating the Kanpai song however sadly it was not as great as I thought.

My fave songs from the album are: 風雲, 彼方へ and 「未完」, these are on repeat on my phone as I commute to work ^^

The album is released in the Normal and Limited Edition. Limited Edition comes with a lyric photo booklet and a DVD containing the Mikan music video and making-of video. Normal Edition comes with five additional songs.

Sadly I cannot go to the concert this year but I hope to pick up some goods as I will be in Japan at the same time as the Osaka Concert!

The difficulty to get an Arashi ticket

When people ask, Why is it so hard to get tickets for Arashi concerts?
Well we all know how popular they are but it seems it's slowly going down. But let's go through some numbers you can get an idea of why it's so hard + all the scalpers who take tickets to sell them and make money. I'm not sure of the official members of the fanclub but I heard the the number passed 2 million. But it could also be that people left, the ID still grows. Anyway you get the picture of the amount of members!

Looking at the past years, they have had 3 concerts at each venue (Sapporo, Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya and Fukuoka). Well at Tokyo Dome they have had 6 concerts making it a total of 18 performances.

Sapporo usually holds 53 000 people x3 = 159 000 people
Tokyo dome usually holds 55 000 x6 = 330 000 people
Osaka usually holds 45 000 x3 = 135 000 people
Nagoya usually holds 40 000 x3 = 120 000 people
Fukuoka usually holds 35 000 x3 = 105 000 people

Total audience 849 000 people

We all know it's a lottery, you send in the venue you want to go to and the dates. You rank them 1-4.
You also send in the amount of tickets you wish for 1-4. You need to write the names of the ones who will go with you.

You usually have one week to ballot, afterwards it takes 1,5-2 months before you get to know the result..
All I can say is...WOW.. it has to be a hard work to puzzle this out!!!
I read these numbers last year.

【Number of tickets】
1 person applying for 1 ticket per performance 10%
1 person applying for 2 tickets per performance 60%
1 person applying for 3 tickets per performance 10%
1 person applying for 4 tickets per performance 20%

I think you now can understand why it's so difficult.
2 million members, each can request 1-4 tickets.
Let's say each member requests 4 tickets, 2x4 = 6 million.
6 million divided in 849 000 seats. Yes, it's the same as to win the real lottery jackpot.

I do not recommend buying from the black market. The prices are insane.
We all love them and it's amazing to see them live but the scalp price is not worth it!
Buy the dvd instead!

ARASHI LIVE TOUR 2016-2017 Are You Happy?

The excitement is growing fast in my heart! It was finally announced and my bank account went broke..haha
Not only because of the dvd itself, I'm not that poor, yet!? :)
But with an upcoming wedding there are a lot of expenses. Anyway it didn't stop me from pre-ordering this! I got the DVD Limited edition. I want the regular too, why does JE always have to make fans broke? I mean we want both! Oh well...release is May 31, not long to go :)



After asking Are You Happy? with their best-selling album in October 2016, Arashi made fans happy with a same-titled concert tour from November 2016 to January 2017. The ever popular group attracted 855,000 people to the 18 shows of the Are You Happy? dome tour. To convey Arashi's thoughts on their current selves, each member tailored their own performances of their self-produced songs. The group also wove together their hit songs into Happy Medley for a happy surprise!

Limited Edition comes in special packaging with a live photo booklet and two bonus discs containing Arashi's August 2016 Japonism Show live in Yokohama Arena.

Regular Edition comes with a bonus disc containing Are You Happy? tour documentary.

Arashi in Tokyo Dome

I cannot believe I got to see them again. It has been three years since last.

And to be honest I was so star struck that I cannot remember everything, but I will write a bit!

I got my first choice on day. I chose Monday to kinda get closer to get tickets. As many Japanese people work over time it's hard for them to leave the office and make it to 6pm.

We had AWESOME seats in Arena. The center stage was right in front of us. We also had the floating stage passing above us. I dressed up for the first time, I had bought the parka and I had attached the pins to it. I also had brought  Swedish flag with me and penlight in the other hand! I kinda missed out to go to Harajuku before the concert, they usually sell cheap goods to wear for concerts, but it was ok. I made an effort ^^

Japanese are so polite, it was also easy to find our seats, but it was tight!! The concert started on time more or less, it kicked off with Ups and Downs, to me a Vegas inspired stage! It was a greats start.

I was completly starstruck, I'd never imagine Arashi would come this close.

I was so happy when they started singing Oh Yeah followed by Love so Sweet. It brought back so many memories.

Sho-kun's solo also came quite fast. A very cozy and cute setting.

I had a hard time to focus as I had to twist and turn my body to see everything, I mostly followed Sho-kun..haha

Arashi even brought out a car and had a selfie camera ^^ So much fun! Also to hear Step and Go, wow.. I cannot believe so many years have passed. it feels like it was last year it was released. 

Riida's solo, OMG... the screen shots. The faces he made, I never guessed he'd do something like that. It totally changed my view of the whole song. I couldn't stop laughing and at the same time be amazed by the one and only! Riida is a great performer!!!!!! Most songs from the new album was there, All memories of being an Arashi fan passed by. It felt unbelieable. I had so anticipated Power of Paradise, it's a song I have listned to for the past months, I love it so much!!

Matsujun had to struggle to pull of his solo, it made me cry, he really tried but this song was too much for him, it did not sound good.

Then it came, my fave song of all.. Miles Away. Up they came on their own small platforms, the wind underneath blew up a round shaped fabric making it look like clouds, it was such a great performace, I so wished I could have had recorded it. It brought me to tears, such wonderful way to perform this song. I cannot wait for the dvd, I will play it over and over. The members dressed in white made it feel like a dream and it made me think of my love back home. This was followed by Hatenai sora, a song I think has meant a lot to many Arashi fans. It was so beautiful and it was just perfect. 

As for the medley I was happy to hear many old songs, but I hate Kitto Daijoubu, don't ask but I found it boring, however they always sing it. I had rather prefered Sakura Sake or Subarashi Sekai.

Aiba-chans solo, it's like watching a 5 year old, so much fun..haha

The lyrics were a bit weird but it was a fun performance.

I was quite surprised that they did not have so many costumes this time, maybe the penlights cost too much? They could control the penlights, it was quite cool to see. But I guess that's why the wardrobe did not look as fancy as before. Still it's Arashi so it doesn't really matter.

Only one Encore, I had wished for two, I know I got greedy.

It has been quite a while since I heard エナジーソング絶好調超, I love the song, it makes me super genki! All that I needed.

But afterwards I read that the other concerts in Tokyo ended earlier than ours, I thought as it was Monday it would end earlier. Anyway it made me happy to know they brought it all!

Arashi finished off with Daylight, one of my fave singles from 2016. I was like, they cannot miss that one out! It was awesome to hear it live.

As for confetti first we got heart shaped ones, in all Arashi colours.

Then we got the longer one with the Are You Happy logo on. in Silver. Very cute.

We were lucky to get them as we sat in the middle, I could see fans going crazy to get some of them!

We got a lot..hehe

And of course we also tried to distribute to others, but the staff cleaned them away quite fast.

The day has come, we are off to TOKYO!!

I cannot believe I'm going there for a second time in a year ^^

And I'm bringing a friend with me, it's her first time.

It will be a hectic and intensive week which I'm VERY much looking forward to.

Food, shopping, friends, family and Arashi concert!

Are You Happy?

It's finally here, it felt like ages. I pre-ordered it back in August I believe ^^
And this album is more special to me, just like LOVE as I'll attend the tour this year! It's also getting closer, I cannot believe it.
I will write reviews for that later ;) Well, back to the album. I have mixed feelings, some are AWESOME and some are so-so. But it's a great mix of songs. I'd say that some sounds are typical JE, I could see Tackey and Tsubasa do 青春ブギ for some reason. ^^
My fave song is Miles Away, I love ballads and I was not surprised when I saw that O-chan is supervisor of it. 
As for solos I like O-chan's, his is always good! I like the mix of sound and O-chan's voice! And best of all I can listen to this song at the gym..hahaha 
Aiba-chan's solo is very A-chan style, not sure how it will be live, it has some difficult notes I think. And it would also suit TxT, but I bet it will be a fun performance.
And Matsujun's solo is also nice, it fits him. It's also a fun song I think it will be a great live performance!
Nino's is not like anything I expected, but I like it a lot! Well done Nino!! ^^
The best to last... Sho-kun's sounds like something Aiba-chan would do I think in many parts, but it's also VERY Sakurai Sho like. To sum it up a genki song and I think it will be fun to see live, Happy Hip-Hop Sho in a strange outfit! (^^;;)

Japonism

For me the most anticipated album of the year ^^
I love the covers! and I love the effort they have put into it. This album is filled with many different sounds. The title JAPONISM shines through. I unsuspectingly like Aiba-sans solo. And my fave songs are 君への想い and 三日月.
I wonder how the new tour will be and what to expect, what can be put in to show the Japanese side!?
Anyway extremely happy for this album, yet annoyed over all the versions but survive ^^ I got the two album limited edition!

Japonism

The news all fans have been waiting for came out last Friday!

Arashi is to release a new album "Japonism" on October 21.
According to the news Arashi wants to show different angles of Japan, therefore the title "Japonism" 

The album will feature previous released singles "Sakura" and "Aozora no Shita, Kimi no Tonari", as well as nine new tracks and the member's solo songs. It will be available in three different editions Limited Edition, Regular Edition, and Yoikoto Edition. The Limited Edition comes with a DVD containing the PV and making footage for a new number. The Regular Edition will include four bonus tracks. And, the Yoikoto Edition includes a cover of Shounentai's "Nihon Yoitoko Maka Fushigi" and members' talk.

The new single "Ai wo Sakebe" whoch is released on September 2 will not be included with the album.

As I got this info and I was super shocked... really? already? I have to have it ^^

I've already pre-ordered my copy, my credit card is kinda crying but it's also used to it by now!

I finally got it!! I'm so excited, I have been excited ever since it was publish it'd be airing. However due to work and hectic lifestyle I haven't been able to look for it. However now I got it!!
I cannot wait to see it, if I know Sho-kun well, he struggled to learn how to cook. But then again we also know his real life skills ^^
The drama story is slightly different from the novel, but still I think it will be fun to watch!! ^^

Plot
In 2013, Ko Osawa (Sho Sakurai) works as sous-chef at a first-class hotel. He cooks French cuisine. His job at the hotel requires him to cook for hundreds of customers, but Ko Osawa prefers to cook for a single customer. One day, he happens to see a pamphlet inquiring about a chef available to work at a diplomat office. Ko ends up taking the job and quits his job at the hotel.
2 years later, Ko now works as the chef at the Japanese Embassy in Vietnam. Ko then takes part in a cook-off against the chef at the French Embassy.

I love the First press DVD edition cover, I'm so excited about the dvd!!

It's less than a month until the release!!!

ARASHI BLAST in Hawaii DVD

I woke up to a FC mail saying Arashi Blast in Hawaii will be released on dvd on April 15!!
It will be released in 4 versions, Two limited editions, one for DVD and one for Bluray.
And there will also be be Two normal editions, one for DVD and one for Bluray
Besides from the concert there will also be a DOCUMENTARY of the concert included!!!

With the Limited editions, there will be a special package and a 150 pages booklet!
I managed to grab a copy of the Limited DVD edition, my creditcard is crying a bit but at the same time I'm overjoyed! It's already sold out on many online stores!!

I'm most keen about the "Hawaiian" versions of My Girl and Everything ^^

Sakura

The first single of the year, I was so happily surprised by their performance on Music Station last weekend. And I have been waiting soooo for a new single!!
I wouldn't call it addictive like many other songs, but I do like this! It wasn't WOW the first time I listened to the songs, but the more I listen to them over and over they get stuck in my head!! Also, Sakura, it's more "manly" and grown-up in a way. The music of the song is also great, then again it's the same composer as for so many other Arashi songs!! I also like the B-sides, Onaji sora no shita de and Rise and Shine. The reason I like these two are also mostly for the music itself, and of course the lyrics. For Rise and Shine they are using a Swedish composer (^^;;) 
I'm happy to have them back and I hope this year will be another fantastic Arashic year ^^
