It's skins masker kostar ENDAST 29 kr!

Och The First Treatment Intensive Moist Essence!

Ni hittar andra koreanska märken hos Sephora - DrJart+, TonyMoly, Eborian, Skinfood, Too Cool For School.

Missha Tension Pact - Perfect Cover (Update)

I made a review a few months ago and I want to update you. My feeling about this product has changed. See original review here.
I said it gave me dry spots etc and I was not happy. But I didn't want to throw it out so I kept it away and last month I took it out again. I can say, this, sun and Swedish summer did not work well together!!! To me it seems this is not good with heath / sweat! I base this on when I have had it on and eaten hot food or been sweating.
The weather is getting colder and now I have tried it a quite many times now. I have used more moisturizing lotions / creams etc lately. And I said I'd give this a shot. During the days I have used it has been my days off. I have stopped using a lot of make up at work, mainly because I don't have time to go and re-apply. Anyway, to the days I have used it has been on weekends and I have been out shopping, meeting friends etc and I was surprised when I came home a many hours later and it looked way better than during the summer. I could still see a few spots, but very minor!!!
One of the days my hubby and I had been  out eating ramen and it was SUPER HOT in the restaurant. But the other days, it looked very nice, a retouch was not needed, I think it had a very nice cover and natural look. Also when I met up with some friends whom I hadn't seen for a long time said my skin looked flawless and they loved my make up!!!

I have now decided to use this more during the winter and see what happens, but so far.. I'd say this one is much better for the colder season than the warmer seasons!

Score
★★★/★★★★★

AHA vs BHA

This was a HUGE confusion for me in the beginning. Honestly I had no idea what it was in the beginning, but after I read some info I understood. AHA and BHA is good but be careful to mix!
This is a short 101 class by the #Beautybreakdown.

Enjoy!!

Jag såg att ni fortfarande visar Pirates of the Caribbean 5.

Where to shop Makeup/Skincare products in Seoul

If you travel to Seoul, this is how and where you buy your makeup / skincare products.
Lately lots of items comes with both English and Korean information on the back, but not all.
In the larger tourists areas there are staff who speaks, Chinese (Mandarin), Japanese, Vietnamese and English. But to be on the safe side, Google items before you go :) Or take a photo, go to a cafe google and go back!

Koreans love their skincare and make up both men and women in all ages. Lots of non-Koreans are picking up on this and all I can say is that South Korea is HEAVEN for all skincare and makeup lovers!
And don't worry about the hotel locations, you can find stores in every corner! Even in apartment areas (for those who prefer AirBnB).
The bigger crowd means items you might want can be sold out! But there are so many shops you should not be too alarmed. Just walk to the next block or go to another area and you will find it.
Below I will mention the larger and more popular areas, I think these areas are good to include if you are quite new to Seoul. The more you go there and have time, the more areas to explore!

Examples of Drug stores/Roadshop Korean brands
A'pieu, April Skin, Banila Co,Club Clio, eSpoir, Etude House, Holika Holika,
Innisfree, Missha, Peripera, The Face Shop, The Saem, Tony Moly...

Then you also have stores such as Olive Young, Boots, Watsons that hold several brands.

Following are popular Areas in Seoul to go shopping.
I'd suggest these for the new ones travelling to Seoul! Below you find 11 different areas

1. 종로 Jongno
A long road, it starts at Jonggak station (종각) and you can walk until Jongno 5 ga 종로5가.
Along the underground you find a mix of make up and fashion goods, above ground the same.
On the way you also pass Insadong, the traditional Korea, here you will see all the make up shops written in Hangul instead of Alphabet!

How to get here
Line 1 Jonggak (종각)
Follow the underground walk way till the end and exit.
Or walk back, exit and walk the upper grounds.

2. 명동 Myeongdong
This is in the heart of Seoul and to Koreans this is almost like travelling abroad.
There are so many tourists here, you find more people speaking a foreign language than Korean.
Bring your passport to get Taxfree. There are at least 5 of each roadshop store in this area!
Boots recently opened a MEGA store here!! They hold both domestic and foreign brands

In this area you also find Lotte Department Store, Lotte Duty Free, Lotte Young Plaza (You can find lots of Kpop goods), Restaurants, Clothes shops like H&M, Forever 21, Uniqlo and Spao.

In Lotte Department store you find more high end brands of skincare products. You can also buy Duty free, you select and pay now and pick up at the airport. Don't for get to bring your ticket and passport!
The Duty free section is always crowded, you have to fight for what you want!!! Mostly it's because of the Mainland Chinese tourist. As a Westerner it can be a bit scary but in Chinese culture they are not used to lines/queues. So when we think they cut in line, that's just how they do it. Nothing rude, just Chinese way, that's what my mainland Chinese friends have told me!!

How to get here:
Subway Line 2 to Euljiro Il-ga (을지로 입구)
For Myeongdong Exit 6
For Lotte Department Stores Exit 7

Subway Line 4 to Myeongdong (명동)
Exit 6

Sinchon/Edae
A few stops away from Myeongdong connecting 3 universities creates an great area for shopping and eat cheap! Start of by getting off at Ewha station, exit 2 or 3. Walk around the alleys and walk further down towards Yonsei and you will get to Sinchon. Here you also find the Uplex and Hyundai shopping malls and lots of great places to eat!

How to get here:
Line 2 to Sinchon (신촌)
Exit 1,2,3 or 4
or
Ewha Womans University (이대)
Exit 1, 2, or 3

Hongdae
A heart of shopping, food, party and artists all coming together! This is Hongdae and this part of Seoul never sleeps! Take exit 9 and follow the people! Here you find everything the teens and University students want. No matter age, it's great to visit! Here they have the largest brands plus Olive Young shops which carry multiple brands!

In this area you also find: Interesting galleries, Trick Eye museum, Hello kitty cafe, Snoopy cafe, K-drama locations etc.

How to get here:
Line 2 to Hongdae (홍대)
Exit 9

Dongdaemun
If you have heard about Korea, you must have heard of  the Big East Gate, that is exactly what Dongdaemun means. Although this is the home for fashion, the makeup and skin industry has opened it's doors here as well! You find the bigger brands here, not the largest shops but enough to make you satisfied!

How to get here
Line 2,4,5 to Dongdaemun History and Culture park
Exit 13, 14, 15 for shopping

Or
Line 1 or 4 to Dongdaemun (동대문)

Daehakno
This area is home for small screen plays, cinema etc. It's called University road.
Here you find lots of restaurants, shops and parks. A great place to visit, usually very crowded!
Walk around the main streets and alleys and you will find it all, it's a great place to get lost!!

How to get here
Line 4 to Hyehwa (혜화)

Jamsil
Jamsil or Lotte Town is also a great area to mix fun with shopping and amusement.
The reason why it's called Lotte Town is because the big Korean company Lotte has let built several buildings in this area!
The Lotte buildings hosts several shopping complex buildings with lower brands and high fashion brands. You also find Lotte Hotel, Lotte Duty Free, Lotte World - In-and outdoor amusement park. Lotte Mart (like US Walmart), several shops and restaurants.

In Lotte Department store you find more high end brands of skincare products. You can also buy Duty free, you select and pay now and pick up at the airport. Don't for get to bring your ticket and passport!

How to get here
Line 2 or 8 to Jamsil (잠실)

8. 건대 Konguk University
Another large University area around Line 2. Here you also find most Make up brands and also cheap fashion, just like the ones added on above. I'd say this area is not as popular among foreigners as the other ones but it sure host lots of great places!!

How to get here
Line 2 or 7 to Konguk University (건대)

COEX (Samsung station)
I'm not sure if it still is, but it's said to be the largest shopping mall in ONE single floor!
Here you find it all, all the make up brands plus more!

You can also find Lotte, and I believe Shilla duty free here. At least they used to have Shilla. Lotte is still there! Of all the Lotte Duty Free "stores" I prefer this one, it's less crowded and I actually found some items cheaper than in the Myeongdong branch!.

How to get here
Line 2 to Samseong (삼성)

10. 강남 Gangnam
The famous Gangnam area! I prefer the "underground mall" inside the station itself. It's huge but you won't get lost, there are numbers for each exit and maps, just walk around it. Here you find lots of make up shops, clothes etc. Go up above ground and you find even more!

In this area you also find: This is also home of Samsungs Digital Plaza (D'light), always a fun stop for tourists! Lots of offices so if you take the "wrong" exit it will bring you to the office districts.
You also find lots of shops and good restaurant. Next to the Shin Nonhyeon station in the cellar floor you have the Kyobo bookstore, here you can also find magazines, cds/dvds and also lots of stationary.

How to get here
Line 2 or Shin Bundang line to Gangnam (강남)
Exit 10 or 11 for shopping streets

Or
Line 9 to Shinnonhyeon 신논현
Exit 5 or 6 for shopping streets
Exit 7 for Kyobo books

Express bus terminal
Actually this place is best for the cheaper fashion. But you can of course find all the make up brands here too. You also have the Central City (센트럴시티) feature Megabox cinema and Shinsegae department store so you can also find high end brands and great places to eat!

In this area you also find: Banpo Brigde, it lights up in the evening and you get a great watershow! Worth the visit! If you want to travel outside Seoul this is one of the main bus stations.

How to get here
Line 3, 7 or 7 to Express Bus Terminal (고속터미널)

Apgujeong/Sinsa
Along Line 3 you find these two areas, start at either and walk between.
Apgujeong is a hotspot for high end brands, you find most luxurious brands here. It's also a great place to go clubbing at night.

In Sinsa you have the famous Garosu-gil. This area attracts a lot of people every day!
You find all the make up and skincare shops but also foreign and domestic brands and lots of fun cafes and restaurants.

In this area you also find: Gourmet 434, a luxurious food court. You should know that Koreans love to eat and in each mall they have a food court. To compete the CEO decided to bring in some of the best restaurants into a food court! Here you can have a delicious meal and get some of the best of Seoul!!!

How to get here
Line 3 Apgujeong (압구정)
or Sinsa (신사)

13. 용산 Yongsan
This place hold a mix of electronics and fashion mall.
It also has a huge cinema and usually shows Korean movies with subtitles as the American Army base is not too far away. The Yongsan complex is large and great to spend time if it's rainy outside.
In the cellar they also have an E-mart, similar to the American Walmart. Here you can buy both make up and foods.

How to get here
Line 1 Yongsan 용산
Exit 2 or 3
or
Line 4 Shin-Yongsan 신용산
Exit 3, aprox. 4 min walk

HADA LABO Goku-jyun Clear Lotion (svenska)

I wrote about this item in English last week, please go here.

Denna lotion bör slås/duttas in i huden, dvs inte bara smetas in.

I told you about my skincare routine the other week and I have also said I have super dry skin.
Although I do my routine I wish to obtain a better result. So right after I posted that I got myself a new moisturizing cream.
For the past two weeks I rediscovered and used the HADA LABO Goku-jyun Clear Lotion morning and evening.

Back to the new moisturizing cream - this one from Finnish Lumene.
It was fairly cheap and it says 24 moisturizer. It's also from Finland and should know what to add as Finland is cold and dry during winter time.
So far so good, I like it a lot!! Compare to the Nivea I do not feel the dry patches throughout the day.
But to be able to give a full review I will use it a few more weeks!!
What I can say is that my hubby has noticed and he said..wow your skin is super smooth!!
I think my skin feel like a baby ^^

Let's keepon moisturizing :)

Etude House Shopping Haul

When there is a sale, there is a danger.
I have not used a lot of Etude house things for quite a while. But lately they have launched a lot of items that have caught my eye. I looked at reviews online and honestly it's always about the personal opinion. A lot of Youtubers says the same of the products too so we'll see what I think.
I have bought a mix of items and I hope to be able to share my review later.

These are the items I ordered, I got between 30-50% off each!
Etude House had a 48 h sale so I couldn't stop myself, I probably ordered more than needed but it will come in use, I'm sure!!! I ordered all of the items to my parents in law and I haven't decided if I should ask them to ship them to me or if I should just wait and pick them up when we go to Korea in December.

You might ask, so if you are going why did you buy them?
As I said..30-50% off :) Also these I wanted to buy and don't care to try.
If you might see, I have not picked up any face make up like foundation, powder, blush.
Nor lip products, Etude is really famous for their water lip tints but I want to wait until we go to Seoul. For all of the items I bought, I got somewhere between 30 000 - 40 000 off in total, which is aprox. 28-38 USD. Sorry I haven't calculate the total, I have to sign in and look at my account. Anyway, in the Korean world of beauty you can BUY a lot for 40 dollars!!
Yes they might have a sale when we go but so might other brands have as well and I know I'm gonna go crazy and buy lots of other items. I think I'm done with my purchases at Etude House for this time.
I'm excited to go shopping in Seoul! It was been so long and the brands keep on developing and release new exciting items!

Blanda ihop allt.
Smörj en form med lite olja.
Varva rödbetsblandning och lasagneplattor.

Gör en bechemelssås och häll på.
Grädda i 45 min.

Istället blandar vi in engelska ord i meningar, reklam, namn?

HADA LABO Goku-jyun Clear Lotion

A re-discover in my skincare routine is this one. I picked it up on a trip to Japan last year but I kept it stored well away. Now as the winter is coming, this is going to be perfect for my skin. It's a lotion to support your skin to be moisturized. As I have dry skin this is very very good. So happy to re-discover this item, I used it years ago when I lived in Korea. Also my aunties in Japan has this at home and they told me to use and it's very very good. It's a best seller in Japan and other Asian countries. For all of you not linking fragrance this is good for you. I personally wish it would have a more re-fresh scent but it moist and that's what it's made for! I'll definitely pick up refills in Japan next time!!!

For all of you who cannot travel to Japan you can buy it online, e.g. amazon.com

About: Instantly hydrate your skin. HADA LABO Goku-jyun Clear Lotion should be used after washing and serves as the foundation to your moisturizing routine. While it looks clear like a toner or makeup remover, it’s actually a moisturizer that helps prepare your skin for better absorption of other HADA LABO products. In fact, the HADA LABO Goku-jyun Clear Lotion can be used as a standalone moisturizer.

How to use: After removing your makeup and cleansing, pour a nickel-size amount of the lotion into your palm and rub between your hands to warm. Gently pat onto your face and neck until it is thoroughly absorbed. Wait until the product is fully absorbed to apply any additional moisturizers or to apply makeup. Use twice daily after washing face.

Ingredients: water, butylene glycol, glycerin, disodium succinate, hydrolyzed hyaluronic acid, hydroxyethycellulose, methylparaben, PPG-10 methyl glucose ether, sodium acetylated hyaluronate, sodium hyaluronate and succinic acid.

Ramen Sunday @ BLY

My hubby and I went for dinner at Blue Light Yokohama. They only serve ramen on Sundays so it's necessary to reserve a table. We came on time and got our table, the menu was tiny.. I somewhat expected more. But maybe I should have read more.
The place was half full but the staff ran around like it was fully booked. To me they needed to be a bit more organized and not having to run around like crazy and be "stressed".
It took over 30 min to get the food, a long time for ramen! And especially since that's the only thing on the menu, the broth should have had been made, noodles pre-made (ordered from Japan) cooking time should have been minimal, the condiments as well should have had been pre-made.

Let's break it down.
We chose the tonkotsu (pork based one), I went for the spicy garlic miso and hubby for the traditional.

Broth ★
Super tasty, as good as in Japan.
I loved the garlic and miso taste to mine.
For the normal one, hubby loved it. For me there was one tiny minor, it could have had been a bit more porky.
We ate all soup!!

Noodles
A huge disappointment. These are bought ones from Japan and I have no idea but they seems to have been cut! I have never ever eaten so short ramen noodles in my entire life! I want to slurp my ramen, it was not possible! Noodles were a bit undercooked making them more chewy and it felt more like eating spaghetti.

Char Siu
For our taste, the pork belly had way too much fat and not enough meat, not so much flavour making us disappointed.I don't have an issue to eat fat from pork belly, but why serve the fatty parts only?

Egg
Way too over boiled for an egg to be a ramen topping. the yolk was not soft at all like all of the eggs I have had in Japan. Such a disappointment!! I have never had such hard boiled egg before.

Other
Not sure why they added benishoga, to me it would have had been more fit with more scallions. However the ginger taste gave a good taste to the broth so in a way it made the flavours nice!
The beansprouts where a bit crunchy like they should.

Overall
It's way better than Ki-mama ramen in Stockholm. But there were a a lot of things I was disappointed with. Would I go back? Based on this dinner, No I wouldn't. But I'd love to try their other dishes - sushi etc.
So far I'd say Totemo ramen is the best ramen I have had in Stockholm! And I expected BLY to be way better than this, not at all a genuine Japanese experience!!!
I still find it hard to understand how they could miss out on so many things, especially since that's the only item on the menu. I mean..to boil a "softer" boiled egg, how hard can it be?
But their broth was AMAZING, I could go back and only eat that ^^

I need more space

I cannot wait to move. My pile of make up etc needs more space. It's hard living in a small house.
I have more boxes but they are higher up with lots of other stuff, facial masks and items I don't use on a daily basis.
I told my hubby that when we move to a bigger house. I will buy something to be better organized with all of my make up stuff. This is horror!! He said, do whatever as long as you are satisfied. In other words, he won't fight this one. Also he wants more space for himself for his stuff too, not make up but...
And I should also mention that I also keep things at my parents house, mostly various nail polish but also facial masks...!

On était beau (Version Acoustique)

This is a song I have been hooked on since it first was released. Last month this was posted on Youtube, but I have been a bit slow. I cannot wait for her new album to be released ^^

Enjoy!

On était beau
Pourtant on accélérait sans freins
On s'aimait trop
Pour s'aimer bien
On était beau
Souvent, quand on souriait pour rien
On s'aimait trop
Pour s'aimer bien

Je me réveille je pense à toi
Encore sommeille je pense à toi
Trop de soleil je pense à toi
C'est plus pareil
On funambule, je pense à toi
On me bouscule je pense à toi
Si je recule je pense à toi
Je suis ridicule

On était beau
Pourtant on accélérait sans freins
On s'aimait trop
Pour s'aimer bien
On était beau
Souvent, quand on souriait pour rien
On s'aimait trop

Je me dégoûte

On était beau
Pourtant on accélérait sans freins
On s'aimait trop
Pour s'aimer bien
On était beau
Souvent, quand on souriait pour rien
On s'aimait trop
Pour s'aimer bien

Tu sais j'étouffe je pense à toi
Quand je découche je pense à toi
Je perds mon souffle je pense à toi
Au bord du gouffre
Encore un soir je pense à toi
J'ai le cafard je pense à toi
Dans le brouillard je pense à toi
Je peux pas y croire

On était beau
Pourtant on accélérait sans freins
On s'aimait trop
Pour s'aimer bien
On était beau
Souvent, quand on souriait pour rien
On s'aimait trop
Pour s'aimer bien

My current skincare routine

I like my current skincare routine, a few steps each day/week/month and I can see my skin looking very nice. Still on the dry side, so I'm looking forward to buy a lot of products in Korea and Japan.
Some items I need to re-stock and some new I want to try. For some I need pretty badly as I have run out of a lot but K-beauty is really developing therefore I really like to try new things. I'm also going to be a bit open minded and buy from different stores, rather than just going to my usual ones. Then again some brands has improved a lot since they opened so I think I need to get rid of the bad image in my head. Right now I really want to get some new cleansers, scrubs, toner etc.

Mornings
Daily

Warm water
Face wash
I have a more simple wash in the morning.

Moisturizing creme
Let the creme set before applying make up etc

Evenings

Daily
Make up remover and cotton pads
To remove eye shadow and eyeliner.
I currently use the Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water. To me of the options I have found is the one I like the most.

Facial wash

Double cleansing. I use a foam cleansing + a simple cleansing.
I currently use the Japanese Senka Perfect Whip and Neutrogena Visibly Clear Daily Wash.

Toner
Swipe on the skin. I have preferred the Missha Time Revolution one but sadly I recently ran out of it. So I need to see if I can find another one here in Sweden. or just be without until I go to Korea.
My hubby uses one from Nivea but I'm not a fan of it, I get super dry from it.

Cosrx Pimple pads
If I can see my skin getting a few break outs, I use this.

Nivea creme on the face to moisture.
I just want to say, there are A LOT of other cremes than Nivea. But...my grandma who is 94 has used it for I donno how many years and she looks YOUNG more like 75 than 94! So.. this is why I use it. I like the smell and texture too.

Weekly/Monthly
Detclear peeling gel
Once a week I use a peeling gel, I like the one from the Japanese brand, I think it's called Meishoku but the item itself is called DetClear.
I have used this brand since 2013 and posted about this product before 2013 + 2015

Black head wash/mask / patch
Once every second week I use Black head wash/mask or a patch.
The wash belongs to Neutrogena and the patches are from Missha.
I know some say patches are not good, but I like to rip out what I can but after use I wash my nose to close the pores to avoid damage. Before I started this I saw A LOT of black heads, now..not so much.

Facial masks
Use: 1-3 times a week
I use it more frequent during the dry seasons and my "face looking sleepy" seasons.
All Korean masks usually from Innisfree, Nature Republic or Missha - purchased in Korea/Online. Put on and leave for 20-30 min

Eye masks
Once-Twice a month I use the Kose CLEAR TURN eyes original plump mask.
I can also recommend these when flying, they are transparent, unlike the facial masks..!!

Real Fresh Cleansing Stick Green Tea

One really annoying thing when travelling are all the liquids.
I usually check in my bag, so big bottles are not an issue.
But no matter if I do carry on or checked in luggage I'm always afraid my liquids are going to be all over. Yes it has happened... make up remover, schampoo, conditioner etc.
This item came up on my YT feed, I have seen it but didn't really think a lot about it because I have preferred my usual ones. But I think I will pick one up this time.
I also heard about the Sum 37 stick version one. I heard good feedback about both.
Sokoglam also recommend this item. Very travel friendly :)

Have you tried it? Do you like it?
Do you recommend it?

Dry season

I don't know where you live but where I live, Sweden, it starts to get colder and darker.
We are entering Autumn/Winter season. My least fave seasons for many reasons, one is my skin dries up!! It's like sandpaper, all my base make up is really not fitting!
I cannot wait until I go to Korea, I really need new supplies. Most wanted item is a new foundation cushion!
One that has caught my eye is a cushion from eSpoir called 프로 테일러 에센스 쿠션  / Pro Tailor Essence Cushion.
It comes in 8 shades!!! It's a lot for Korean ones.. and I heard it's good for dry skin! I don't like the package but.. if it works it magic I guess I will survive. Have any of you tried it?
I have so far only tested cushions from Clio, Innisfree, Missha, Tony Moly. So I'm looking forward to try something new ^^

Satte in i mikron på 4 min, men inget pipljud.

Senka Shiseido Perfect Whip

This is a product I have seen for years in Japan, it's popular among Japanese and tourists, it's sold at all drug stores, convenient stores etc in Japan. It comes from the known brand Shiseido and it's a foam cleanser.
It's also sold all over Asia, it's sooooo popular! I tried one from Korean Tony Moly but felt I got super dry (My skin is dry type so it didn't help me), therefore I decided to test this one. It's very affordable among all of the Asian cleansers, you can buy it online if you cannot travel to Japan/Asia. You only need a little piece of the foam, rub into you hands and the magic starts, rub the foam onto your face and rinse off. I was happily surprised it was not as drying and my face feels soft and clean. I love it, the little amount is thick and it cleans the face so well. A lifesaver for people with dry skin ^^ It has a small scent to it but it's not overpowering.
I will see what I can pick up during my upcoming travels, I think this will be one of them as it's comes in a good size for travelling.
