My friend hooked me up with them, her colleagues came for a project. we had a nice time, we also had dinner at Tranan. Swedish foods. I didn't see meatballs on the menu, I didn't ask either but a few got bumped when they saw others having it after ordering. Not sure why but the food turned out good anyway ^^ We all also shared a salad! delicious!
It was my first time here, it was good, and especially for tourists. But as I'm a Swede I won't go here very often, I mean I can eat this at home...hehe
I had wanted to see this movie since beginning of summer when it was annouced. Not that I'm a fan of zombies but it looked like a fun movie to watch. It grew stronger as it got more interest in media and it became the highest sold movie. Although it is supposed to be scary I found some scenes hilarious. But some things really annoyed me too, as they became so Korean, I wondered, I hope they can see that they do have a problem in the society. And not only look at it as "this is just a movie". Some scenes really showed how Korean the movie is. Not that it's bad but more, this needs to change! I think the movie was well made and it was interesting to see it until the end! Worth watching for sure.

I spent the weekend in Luleå, I even was that good I forgot my brand new scarf..haha
E is gonna send it to me luckily.
It was a great weekend, and weird too...We had not seen each other since July last year! Time passes fast! At least our relationship is that we pick it up where we left it last time. Also, it's not like we haven't talked in between. But distance and schedule has made it harder for us to meet than usual.
Anyway in all...Great weekend.
I also found this sign at the local café called Trend.
I think it was a great saying.
"Happniess is not for sale, but coffee is, and it's almost the same thing".
You have to excuse the black dots, they are due to privacy...
This year I had kinda set my goal to do squats with 100kgs. But the other day my PT tried to force me doing even more, so in the end of the challenge I did with with 110 kgs!
Yes I reached my goal! I still cannot believe I did it, I mean it was hard and tough, but in my mind I thought it was going to be waaaay tougher!!
As we are only in September and we have a few months left of the year I guess I need to make another goal for 2016!! ^^
How to get there... By Air
To Vienna or Salzburg and take a train or bus.
By Train / Bus
You can get here from Salzburg or Vienna.
The easiest way is to book tickets in advance from ÖBB
Don't forget to print your tickets! Or visit a ÖBB ticket center. Time:
Salzburg - Hallstatt aprox 2h 10-20 min
Vienna - Hallstatt aprox. 3h 30-45 min
From Hallstatt station you need to take a ferry, each ferry is adjusted to the train schedule, please go to the back and chose a corner so you can take some awesome photos.
We took the earliest train out from Vienna at 05.55 and latest return time of the day 18.32.
Trains were late both when we went and on our way back. Still they all connected and we got to where we wanted.
From Salzburg around 1,5 hours
From Vienna around 2,5 hours
Please note: There's no free parking in Hallstatt, if you stay over night check with your hotel.
Parking fee varies depending of the hours you are staying, you can read more here.
For more info on how to get to Hallstatt please visit here.
Foods and drinks
There are lots of restaurants and cafe around the city, please walk around the main streets and you will find something in your taste.
Service is so so, but that's what we felt with most places in Austria, still they expect tips for their service! You can find a big supermarket close to Hallstatt Lahn (Busstop).
Hotel cost varies due to day of your choice and season. Besides hotel you can also find guest houses and apartments.
At Hallstatt we decided to go for the mountain view, we took a local bus from the city center, it took about 15 min and cost €2,1 one way.
The bus went to a close village and back.
We bought the Panorama view for Dachstein mountain. To be honest we thought we were heading for the Hallstatt look out instead we ended up here, a great mistake!
The cost for Panorama View ticket was €29.9, well enough to see. We skipped the caves etc.
The view was spectacular, like a fantasy. I still cannot believe such view exist. I got some funny looks due to my choice of dressing, most wore hiking outfits. But hey.. I was on vaca and it was a sunny day! I think my outfit was the best ^^
If you come to Hallstatt, pay this place a visit, I'd say this one takes a whole day, especially if you want to visit the caves etc.
We did not manage to do everything due to time. But at least we got to see what we wanted!
Last week we visited the beautiful city of Hallstatt located a few hours away from Vienna and Salzburg. We took the train from Vienna, and it was very simple to do so - one transfer and cheap!
The city it self is very small, still I'd recommend 1 or 2 nights, if you don't want to stress, there because it still takes time to go to various places around the city. As we only had a day we were not able to see everything. We were lucky with the sunny weather so we got to see most of the beastliness it could offer.
More info on how to get there will follow later this week...
