Curling for the very first time

I tried curling a few days ago, for the very first time.
Wow it was more difficult than I thought.
We did not get a lot of practise which is needed, curling is more about technique than physics.
We did not have a lot of time to play, but it really made me want to try it out more, maybe a class or several of them ^^
We'll see what I can find ^^

Getting Stronger

The other day I did a new strong lifts session with my personal trainer.
We tried 90kgs again and I made it, I still need to get a bit stronger as I dropped my back slightly.
Still happy and my technique has improved a lot!
I hope to get 90kgs perfect I pulled off 80 perfect so it's not far off!

ProCedos

My PT has introduced me to a new friend, it's called Procedos.
According to him this little mat offers comprehensive functional strategies for training, rehabilitation and conditioning.

I looked at it and told my PT..Aha like twister for work out dummies ^^
I have to say, it was a bit weird but also fun, I think it's gonna be fun.
At least it is something new!

Bungee continues

This is way harder than you think!
But to me this is so much fun! It was my second time to do this a couple of nights before.
This time I also got a lot of people to look into the windows while doing it.
But I had fun so I didn't care to have an audience.
I'm so happy I have found a work out that's hard but fun!!

I had to move these between different places in the room, 1.25kgs each.
And total 36 pcs and I did it 4 times!

Work it out!

After a lot of eating because of various events, it is time to start exercising for real again!!!
I want to reach my goal, but there are lots of temptations...

Lots of steps!

I was surprised to see the number but it also made me want to walk even more.
Last Friday on my day off I took 20 444steps!! ^^
I usually aim for 10 000.
For some reason my phone has set that I should at least walk 8963 steps a day, so last Friday I walked 228% ^^

Fished my week on top

I know I should take it slower, but I have missed out on my work outs a few days so I thought this was alright!
Yesterday I finsihed off my work out session with a spinning ride. I'm satisfied!
And today a new week begins!!

REEBOK CROSSFIT GLOVES

I have have had some issues with my current gloves. I talked to my PT and said I need real ones, also covering my finger tops.
I found these the other day at one of the sports store outlets, Reebok's Crossfit gloves.
I got them 50% off, which is great consider I donno if they are good or not.
Anyway I will give them a try and hope for the best!

Trying it slow

My PT told me to reduce my speed when biking, I have tried it now a few times.
It's hard because I want to beat my records, but I also want to get a lot slimmer. Life is harder than you think sometimes.
Because for every meter I take it's an effort, but now I want more results!

Gotta keepon fighting!

Reward from all the work

This is how I'd say about my daily life.
I think to start going to the gym is not easy, you need a result otherwise the motivation will die.
That's also a reason why I love my PT, although he makes me feel like dying most of the time, I know it's good for my body and since I started I have changed a lot!!
So yes... from all the miles, sweat and effort you will get more satisfied! ^^

Time to get movin!

Tabata Challenge

My PT got me into a new challenge. He has made me doing other kinds of tabata exercises before, last week he showed me a new one. One that I enjoy.
What you do is to run on the treadmill with super high speed aka RUN FOR LIFE! XD
And the first time I did it I survived and actually thought this was the most fun tabata I have done so far... exhausting but fun ^^ I even enjoyed it so much I have started to do it myself at the gym ^^

About Tabata
Tabata training was discovered by Japanese scientist Dr. Izumi Tabata and a team of researchers from the National Institute of Fitness and Sports in Tokyo.
Tabata and his team conducted research on two groups of athletes: one group trained at a moderate intensity level while the other group trained at a high intensity level. The moderate intensity group worked out five days a week for a total of six weeks; each workout lasted one hour. The high intensity group worked out four days a week for six weeks; each workout lasted four minutes and 20 seconds (with 10 seconds of rest in between each set)

The results; group one had increased their aerobic system (cardiovascular), but showed little or no results for their anaerobic system (muscle). Group two showed much more increase in their aerobic system than group one, and increased their anaerobic system by 28 percent.

In conclusion, high intensity interval training has more impact on both the aerobic and anaerobic systems.

The Tabata Program
The Tabata workout lasts only four minutes, but is one of the longest four minutes you'll encounter. The structure of the program is:
Workout hard for 20 seconds
Rest for 10 seconds
Complete eight rounds

80kgs squats

My PT sure gets me working hard!!
This is me doing squats with AMAZING 80 kgs!!!
My right leg on this shot looks so funny, it looks like it's just a small stick ^^ Then again I have tiny legs, but powerful thighs XD
He told me to aim for 100kgs, we'll see but for now I'm kinda pleased.
The picture is so so, but it's actually a screenshot of the video he took of me doing them ^^

キッズ OPS (オプス) バックパック 22L

Last time I was in Japan I bought a big bag for my gym clothes, however there are days it feels way too big. I was keen on buying another one, a JFA backpack, I saw one last time in Japan.
However I went into Soccer Shop and found this one. I had also been into Adidas store but they only had a bigger size. Turned out, as I didn't read the label well enough, that this one is from the Kids Section! XD
Still this one is big enough for my gym outfit.
I like the bright colour and all the pockets. In the bottom there is a big one where I put my shoes ^^
I'm very happy with my purchase ^^

Pics from Color Run

So I managed to run color run all through the race. I wasn't quite sure at first, because of my old knee injuries I should not run outside so I could have had hurt myself a lot. I still have very sore muscles but that pain I will overcome. ^^ It was fun to run with friends, although we all ran in different speeds. We met again at the goal. ^^
And as most people I got soaked both by colour and rain!
I enjoyed the race but I don't think it was really 5 k to be honest. It was too fast XD
Also, the paint was no game, it took more than an hour to scrub off, I had to use a foot file to get it all off. And a foot file should not usually be used on the arm, hands and head but I had no choice. I'm lucky I didn't scrape off the skin in the process ^^

Well well... I have to say, it was a fun race despite the rain.
Colour really does something to you! And for this race, 10 000 people had signed up!

My shoes after the race ^^
I know not the best ones to run in, then again, I didn't want to throw out any of my good ones, so I took my shitty ones ^^

The Color run

In a few hours it's time to embark on a fun 5k run!
I've been looking forward to this race, I wonder how badly I will be affected by the color.. in other words, will I be able to wash it out XD
I'm running with 3 friends, it's our first time!
Time to set color into our lives!!!

Spinning outside in the hotness

Yesterday we passed this in the middle of Orchard road.
I have to say...not sure if this is good or not. I mean it's hot and humid outside than spinning for hours. Make it or break it ^^;;
Or maybe it's like hot yoga?!hot makes it easier to exercise?
ONLY in Singapore ^^;;

New tactics

The other day my PT tried a new way to get me to work harder and faster...by trying to scare me, saying I'd get punishment for each task i didn't clear as many of each or meters he wanted!!
It kinda pissed me off so I took out my Super Sonic moves and got him back ^^;;
oh well sadly enough in the end he forced me to do burpees!!!
Our battles are to be continued~ tonight!!

Getting Stronger each time

Weight training is improving as my PT is pushing my limits each time Last Thursday I managed to do dead lifts and squats with 50kgs!!! And lunges with 2x9 kgs dumbbells...
I feel that I get stronger but I also have a sore body!
The pain is still not over and today I'm back at the gym. I had a rest yesterday, Saturday is my only day off from exercising!
