Euro 2016 begun about a half week ago!

五右衛門のパスタ

I first tried this back in 2011. then I have had it on and off.

I went here twice this time!

The one I share is the Japanese styled pasta with sesame seeds, it felt like a Japanese salad!

I liked this a lot, I also like that it's quick and it's not the typical pasta.

My darling thought it was so-so, as he loves Italian style pasta. But I remember when I took my dad there a few years ago, he liked it. It all depends on what you want. I think it's fun to eat pasta outside the box so to say.

They have restaurants all over Japan, it should not be hard to find!

You can ask for an English menu.. they do have it. As pictures sometimes doesn't tell the whole story.

ムーミンハウスカフェ @ 東京ソラマチ

One of the days my darling wanted to visit Tokyo Skytree and what would be nicer than to have a coffee break with moomin? I think he could have gone anywhere but as loving as he is he let me decide. And since we walked all the way to Solamachi, we went to the Moomin cafe.

To be honest I didn't know where it was located, I thought it was inside but after walking around without finding it I looked at a map, I know I should have started with that but sometimes stupidity takes over!

It showed it was located almost where we entered the thing but now we were on the total opposite side. The cafe is located close to the subway exit, OUTSIDE the Solamachi complex.

We got a seat quite fast. The staff tried to speak Finnish but it sounded wrong. Anyway, they had not a lot on the menu, but we ordered coffee and 2 doughnuts, I thought they were small, but one could have had been enough for a family. I liked the blueberry doughnut.

We also got company, I got Snork maiden next to me and my darling got Sniff.

On the latte you could choose which character you wanted I chose Snufkin! :)

We made a new visit to this place, they have a special kind of ramen, or tsukimen.

I brought my darling this time and also one of my best friends. She said her husband was jealous because this place is kinda famous!

I took a normal size portion, so did my friend but my darling took a larger, which he in the end didn't finish. I struggled to finish mine. I thought I'd explode at one point..haha

Before order, think of the size, it's more than you think!

I had a "normal" one but I think mini would have had been more suitable,

Tsukemen means you dip the foods in a separate bowl. The broth is usually thicker.

Ramen means all is mixed in one bowl.

Mini = Ramen 150g noodles, Tsukemen 200g
Normal = Ramen 250 g, Tsukemen 300g
And the largest (XL) has 500g for ramen and 600g for Tsukemen!

Racism, humour or both?

Don't know what to say really, I saw the Chinese version first and all the comments.

Then a friend showed me that there is an Italian version. The Italian version was already up on YT in 2007, and nobody commented like the Chinese one. But there is obviously a difference in them.
Isn't it weird how one thing can change a view?

After seeing the two, would you call it Rascism, Humour or both?

Bento box from Makoto Bento

I had seen a few pics on Facebook and an article in the local newspaper. 

I saw that they opened right before we were heading off to Asia but we didn't have time to go. Then the other day I craved some Japanese food and thought it would be great to pay them a visit.

The beef bowl was already sold out, a shame as I really wanted it. So instead I tried their Chicken one. I talked a bit with the owner, a very nice man. I hope this store will go well. And hopefully grow more so he can expand his menu and also bring more of real Japanese taste out there.

Most Japanese places in Sweden are owned by Chinese or Thai. Nothing wrong in that but the taste is not quite there. To me many places are too salty or have been changed to satisfy the Swedish taste buds. Yes, Swedes think they know Yakiniku and what Japanese food is, but I'm sorry guys you are going to be surprised if you ever eat it in Japan! It's nothing like what you have been stuffing yourself! And there's more to Japanese food than sushi, sashimi, yakiniku and teriyaki dishes.

Back to Makoto Bento, it's located close to Rådmansgatan station.

The restaurant was bigger than I thought! And it looks quite cozy. You can eat there or take out.

After all it's called Bento.

The portion was big, I gave more than half of the rice to my darling, and he had the same dish as me!

The chicken was soft, and it still had skin, maybe it could have had been more crisp. But the teriyaki taste was there. It was served with boiled broccoli and some fresh cabbage.

Price then, affordable 89kr.

Same for Salmon but 99kr for the beef.

I'm keen to go back and try the beef!!

If you are in Stockholm and crave Japanese food, try this out.

Perfect to take away and eat in a park or at home.

Or if you stay and eat in, you can try some Japanese drinks!

This is one of my purchases from Japan.

This dress was super popular, I could see so many people wearing it in Tokyo.

Either this brand or similar. I chose black of the simple reason I liked it most on!

Tokyo Tower

I haven't been there since 2008, I have seen it from a far.

Anyway this time around we decided to visit Tokyo Tower. Ever since Skytree opened it feels like it has become abandoned. I like it much more though, as it has more history.

When we went there the sun was shining so we got an amazing view of Tokyo!

Best of Tokyo

I took my darling here as this is a typical tourist spot! I have taken both my parents and S here too.

I'd say that 85% of the people sitting here are tourists!

I'm of course talking abour Tsutaya and Starbucks! From the second floor you can gaze at the giant Shibuya crossing. Also my fave is to have a matcha drink or another seasonal drink which is typical for Japan! When I was there, they had a Melon one, so good!!!!

It's horrible to have a window seat because all the tourists stand behind you trying to get the best shot.

I'd say that if you are not up for it, sometimes it can be as bad as it feels like people are climbing on top of you! So be aware, or try to find another seat!

This is from an afternoon, I prefer the night as the lights are on. But then I prefer standing on the opposite side! Walk up in Tokyu is also an alternative. 

SuJu Habanero Ramen

I ate this for lunch the other day!

I picked it up at SUM Market in Seoul the other month.

I have to say, it doesn't taste anything buy spicy. It's like Shin Ramyeon but much spicier.

It's nothing I will eat again! Just like the buldalk one. I tried it because of SuJu but to me this is, sorry to say but it's a failure!

I hope the jjajang is better!

This is my fave season of the year, it doesn't get dark!

I wish Sweden would look like this all year around!

Dinner for 4 @ 자코비 버거

I have seen pics multiple times but never had the chance to go there.

The one of the final days we had dinner in Itaewon and we went to Jacoby's.

I have to say..the service was beyond bad!

Yes, people still go because of the size of the burger, otherwise they wouldn't have customers. Everybody was treated the same, I looked around and listened! I was surprised about the behaviour.

Anyway, now I have tried it and will not set my foot there again.

I did have a good time though as I had good company!
The taste then, well I donno it wasn't anything special. some of the patty felt weird to chew almost like liver, I did not enjoy the texture. Other than that, like any other burger. The bread was plain and no special taste.

We were 4 people who shared this.

At the table behind us there were two guys, they finished one of this each!

We were amazed and a bit disgust by it. One person should not eat this much!! It cannot be good for the body. Oh well.. it was a fun experience, minus the bad service!

퓨어 샤인 커버 비비 02 차분한 비비

One of the days me and HJ unni went shopping, you know what women do best!

We went to Nature Republic as they had a massive sale going on.

I got a few things. First out is this BB cream.

I have always used Misshas but I decided to try something new. Especially as it was so cheap.

I haven't tried it yet, I'm thinking of having it in my bag when travelling. It's always good to have a small one when I'm on the go ^^

Banana cake @ 바나나트리

I found this online before heading to Seoul.

Then one of the days we ended up in Sinsa. After lunch despite feeling so full I could throw up.

I decided that we'd visit this place just because it was one block away and convenient as we were in Sinsa already. I calculated that I wouldn't have the time to go back before leaving Seoul for this time either. This place is called Banana Tree. Their speciality is their cake and cotton candy drink.

Due to our stomachs already being overloaded we shared a cake and I took a non-alcoholic mojito and my darling took an espresso.

As it is called Banana Tree we chose the Banana cake!

Isn't it adorable, it comes in a flower pot too!

Platform @ 창동역

I donno if I said that I stayed at a friend's house during my stay in Seoul.

Anyway, one of the days I stopped for this. It's called Platform and it's a new construction, it contains a mix of cafe's, shops, workshops and studios.

It was super new when I went there so many spaces were still empty. But I like the idea of it.

In Seoul there are so many new modern buildings so it's fun when somebody decided to make something innovative and fresh!!

I hope to go here next time when visiting Seoul!

Dinner @ Flying Fish

The other day we decided to have dinner out.

I had seen pics online and this looked nice so we decided to go there.

To be honest it wasn't maybe the best choice to eat after being sushi heaven in Japan. And this sushi is pricey compare to other places.

They serve fusion sushi. We took one Beef tataki roll (tuna roll) and one mixed nigiri.

I liked the roll, happily surprised acutally although I could have had skipped the teriyaki sauce. I didn't really feel the taste of it anyway.

For being sushi in Sweden it was good. But not that good that I'll go there so often.

The nigiri was good, but not worth 195kr sadly. Of course the quality was WAY better than most places, still a bit overpriced.

I still want to go back as they also have a lot more on the menu. But when that visit will be is unsure. We spent a lot of money in Korea and Japan, so we to save some from now on.
