South Korean Make-up

I never buy makeup in Sweden anymore, unless I have to do so. To be honest when I was younger I didn't care too much about makeup. I was a tomboy and I guess I also wanted to be a bit rebellious?
Also it's quite expensive here, but yeah I did buy... UNTIL I went to Korea and found all the makeup stores...
Korea are filled with make-up stores..

  • BaviPhat

  • Etudé House

  • Holika Holika

  • It's Skin

  • Missha

  • Nature Republic

  • Skin Food

  • The Face Shop

  • The Saem cosmetics

  • Tony Moly

  • Of all these I always buy some things at each...

But my fave are Etudé House, Missha and Nature Republic or at least the ones I visit the most.
I also visit Skin Food, Face shop and Tony Moly.
The others I have bought some small stuff at all the others, like facial masks, nail polish.

    Etudé House
Dream on base, Hand lotions, Body lotions, Eyeshadow stick..

    Missha
I love their BB cream, Nose patches, Hair mist, Hand lotion, Deodorant and Facial masks..

My fave BB Cream! U use it almost everyday ^^

    I love these.. Goodbye pores!!

Facial masks! in Korea there are so many different kinds, I always want to buy them all!
These two I got for free when shopping at Missha/Nature Republic

    Nature Republic
Eye shadow, Aloe vera soothing gel, Collagen Eye patch, Nail polish...

I like the feeling having these one!!

This is great after a day out in the sun!!

    Nail polish and remover...

I got these wetwipes for free... Make-up stores almost always give some kind of service when going into the store, this one of the Nature republic ones..

As most people I also get spots, hate it but there's nothing I can do!
I have tried so many things, however this little tube from The Face Shop is the best!!
After 3 days the spots are gone, at lease in my case.

    Happiness worth $3,5

Buy or not? that is the question...

I commute to another city 2-3 times a week as I attend uni in another city than my hometown Stockholm.
However my books and laptop is quite heavy to bring, I hate it.. I need a backpack!
This might sound stupid, but in Sweden we usually (girls) stop using backpacks after middle school. But my arms have had enough!!

I can't find a cute bag in Sweden. We have good ones but they look so boring. I mean if I'm going to force myself look like a nerd ^^ I want to do it in STYLE XD
It sounds stupid I know, but I guess that's who I am..

I found this one online... should I buy it or not?
In a way I regret that I didn't buy one in Japan, my friends tried to get me to buy one, but in the end my pride couldn't let it happen (^^;;)

Today's song: 김보경 - Suddenly/시티헌터 OST (Kim Bo Kyung - Suddenly / City Hunter OST)

I fell inlove with this song the first time I heard it, I love both music and lyrics. 김보경 is a great singer! and she is only 21 years old!! (born in 1990)
Still not sure if I liked the City Hunter drama itself, but watched it because 이민호(Lee Min Ho) was so hot!! For some reason he looks better each drama. I hated his curly hair in BOF but well.. that's GJP's signature and not his choice ^^

    Asian accessories - I'm addicted I suppose

I love the Korean accessories, actually all the Asian ones.
I went crazy last summer and bought quite alot, at various markets or stores.
I purchased most of them at my fave accessory store in Seoul, South Korea.

Here are some pictures of some things I bought!

    Headband - it's handmade ^^

    Ring, very girly right ^^

Earrings - I love the colour

Pin - these pin's have been popular in S. Korea during the past year,
and you can also spot them in many various dramas.

Earrings - They are a set but looks different, however the match is <3

    More to come...

    Americanized

Once again the Swedish newspaper showed how we take after things that happen in the US, or to be clear.. WE write about things that happen in the US.

In today's Metro newspaper there was an article about that you can pay with your phone, it works ask a "credit card". It's Samsung and Googe who makes this possible.
And if you have a certain Samsung phone you can try it out.

    Well... What can I say!?

In South Korea they have had this for more than 2 years!! Or actually it's not connected to Google, only to your own bank. It's like having your Visa/Master Card in your phone. You can also use it to withdraw money from an ATM.

BUT my point is: Have we ever read about it in the NEWSpaper before?
    - NO, I don't think so.

As we in Sweden normally look towards our WESTern friends and not as much to our EASTern. Can I call it sad?

Like I mentioned, in S. Korea you can not only pay with your phone, you can also withdraw money from an ATM with your phone. Also this is NOT only with various SMARTPHONES.
I had a phone back in 2008, I could do it with that phone too, a really simple one! (a 2G one)

I wish we could open our eyes abit more. We call ourselves global but really are we?

    Today's song: AKB48 - フライングゲット (Flying get)
I'm not a fan of AKB48, but their popularity is really growing by each day, now they also have NMB48 and SKE48. The Japanese Otaku's love these girls...
(AKB = Tokyo, NMB + SKE = Osaka and Nagoya)

    A nice reunion

Today I had lunch with my dad before going to a friends house.
I havent seen her or my other friend all summer and this semester we are all taking different classes. It was fun to see the girls and to hear what they are up to. We are really doing different things. As mentioned before I do law this semester while they are studying various English related classes.
We also talked about summer travels and now I really want to visit NYC. I have never been there but I really want to go.
These days the USD is not good therefore it'd be a great time to go!!
But will I have enough money or time?? hmm...

Last night I checked INGNI's homepage and saw so many clothes I want but can't buy since I'm in Sweden..
Also I looked through my "Ray" magazine I bought when leaving Tokyo last month... I'm in love with all the fashion from Japan!!! I want to go back!!

However a friend of mine in Japan is helping me out getting a poncho I saw online..
It's really cute, I like both design and colour! And the best thing.. it was not as expensive as I thought!

Today's song: Today I will share two songs, from 2 different Korean Dramas. They both aired earlier this year.. and I still love these songs (^0^)

박보람 - 언제까지나, 49일 OST (Park Boram - Always, 49days OST)

레인보우 - 그대와 난 씨티헌터 OST (Rainbow - You and I, City Hunter OST)

Seriously.. I will never go back!!

Today I went to the supermarket in order to buy a magazine for my dad.
When I came, I only brought some cash because I didn't think it'd cost too much.
Anyway I found it and was going to pay.
The magazine cost aprox $3,42 and I only had $3.40.. were I able to purchase it?! NO
The store is huge and it was 2 cent! still no! It's raining outside and it's a huge store. We usually go there but after this I won't go back!!
Seriously it was 2 cents!! They wouldn't have lost anything, rather gained a customer... but now I'll choose different stores instead!!
Also recently they have gone down, the "best before date" is really bad! Still since it's close to our house we have gone there. However from now on I'll change store!!!

    Great lecture

Today I woke up at 5am. Imagine that, it was pitch dark outside, I really wanted to go back to sleep!
I arrived at Uppsala station at 7.20 and went to uni. The lecture started at 8.15, and today we had a guest speaker.
First I was like.. I hope she is good because it's going to be 4 long hours no matter what! and if she is bad it is going to be a torture!
However... she was AMAZING!!What a great speaker, she really knew what she was talking about!!

So the 4 h were long but passed quite enough!
Anyway I was very tired but still happy!
On my way back to the train I stopped by a bakery and bought some buns for me and my dad.
    They were really delicious!!

I finished the drama 全開ガール (Zenkai Girl) starring 新垣結衣 and 錦戸亮 (Aragaki Yui, Nishikido Ryo). The ending was a bit different than I thought but a happy ending I suppose ^^

Today's song: JYJ - Get out

    Monday, 19 September 2011

    I finished my book

    I finally finished my book...

    Happiness ^^
It was so much info my brain is overloaded!
Tomorrow I have to wake up at 5am in order to attend my class. It starts at 8.15 and ends at noon.
I need to sleep early tonight

Today's song: 슈퍼주니어 - 슈퍼맨 (Super Junior - Superman)

I love the photos of Siwon in this video!! Also Kyuhun is cute ^^

First day of trial in Norway after the attacks

Today the trial began against Anders B. Breivik in Oslo.
What came out of it was that he will be held in prison for 4 more weeks, totally isolated. No phone calls, visitors or letters.

When Anders B. Breivik wanted to speak he was stopped by the judge. Later comment was that what he wanted to say had nothing to do with the case and felt irrelevant.

One of the reason for the total isolation is that they are not sure if he acted alone or if he had someone who helped him. So far he has not said anything and they haven't found anybody close to him.

We'll have to wait and see what will happen in Norway...
As far as it looks now it will take some time.

Why help others when we can't help ourselves?

As I said before.. I wonder what I pay for.
This time it's my tax money!

I just heard on the news that SWEDEN will pay for 1000 families from Somalia to re-unite in Sweden, and also let children go to school here.
It's sweet and nice right.. it's a very good thing to do indead!
    However... WHY?

We are heading towards a finance crisis already and SWEDISH people are also in need!
So why take care of others when we can not take care of what we already got?
Why create a bigger problem? And the government wonder why the Swedish National Democrats made it to the parliament..

In history we can see that Sweden has been neutral in wars, we are the good ones.
I mean we didn't start the war in Iraq however we have more refugees than whole US of A!!
It says quite alot. And how do they get support, by tax money.

We have issues with people, both SWEDISH and immigrants who are lazy and just stay at home waiting for money to roll in on their accounts for free while others struggle, maybe do 2-3 jobs in order to support their families (once again both Swedish and immigrants).
Why should the honest people have to suffer?

Look at Denmark, they even kicked out their own people, who is now living in Southern part of Sweden.
The Danish system sucks. But makes me mad is that Sweden never can say no.
It's a good thing to help people in need, but right now you need to focus on what we already have.

On TV ee can see that children in today's Sweden are not able to eat proper food at home because people these days are poorer. Also Swedish school is getting more difficult so that many parents have to hire private tutors. When the news channel did a survey they say that most people who hire them are families with a foregin background, reason: the parents Swedish knowledge is not enough so they can't explain the questions for their children.

So why not help the innocent children we already have that obviously needs us, instead of helping others that we don't know just because it looks good on a record?

    ひみつの嵐ちゃん マネキンファイブ

    Super Junior - A-CHa

I got it.. the C version of Super Junior's 5th album!
It's is called A-CHa. I do hate all their versions, I wished they just had 1.
But that's how SM works and yes they do earn money on it!
This time I first bought the A version because of the HUGE cover, like a LP. Also they had 10 different photos, one with each member,
And since Siwon was so hot I had to buy it! I have to say it was difficult to track down! First when I came to Korea, all over town it was sold out!!!I finally found it at a very small record store.

Anyway.. I skipped B because I wasn't too much in love with the new title track Superman.
However now the C version is out, it has 4 new tracks!
I really love this 5th album.. much more than any other album they have released!!

    1. A-CHa - Catchy, a mix of many songs... mr simple, bonamana, it's you etc.. ^^ A typical song that fits Super Junior. After a few times the A-CHa really gets to you! ^^

    2. Oops! feat f(x) - Krystal starts by speaking the intro in English.. it's a fun and catchy song! it in a way reminds me of a cheer song :P maybe it's because of the rap part! I really like that they did this mix with f(x). Also when they sing the "Oops" part it reminds me of Black Eyed Peas..

    3. 하루에 (a day) - a ballad, I love Kyuhun's voice (as always). Ryeowook's high notes are also GREAT!! It's a very sweet song, I'd like to go to bed listening to this one! I can really see them all sit down on the staircase on the stage, singing this all together at a concert in the future.

    4. 안단테 (Andante) - a ballad, i really like it!! At first I thought it was going to be more of an up-tempo kind of song so I was surprised. For some reason this song will be a great roadtrip song.. seeing the sun set and know you are in good hands..hahaha ^^ at least to me....

a nice start on the weekend

Last evening I watched the movie "Friends with benefits", it was fun but only so-so
A typical Hollywood movie I guess...

Anyway this morning I went out to see my cousin Anna, I havent seen her for a while so it was nice!
We met up at one of my fave cafés in Stockholm! I had a huge tuna sandwich
    So it became brunch..haha
And I also got a chai latte, as usual! We had a long talk about various things, then walked around Stockholm City, it was full of people!! People get their paychecks next weekend so that's why I was surprised! next weekend will be worse!!

Today is my mum's and cousin Johan's BIRTHDAY!!
Therefore.. HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you both!!!

    Today's song: 다비치 - 안녕이라고 말하지마(Davichi - Don't say goodbye)

This is the latest song from Korean duo Davichi...

An extra song.. this was aired some time ago.. however I still love this song, also I love the outfit Amuro Namie has on!! It's really cute!!

安室奈美恵feat AI & 土屋アンナ (Amuro Namie feat. AI & Tsuchiya Anna) - Wonder Woman.

    I miss friends...and purikura

I looked at some photos from my Asia tour...
And I miss my friends so much.. we had a great time and I hope to see them all soon again!!
Besides from normal photos I managed to do purikura (print club) with some of them.. thanks for the memories!! In Shinjuku we even did cos-play (costume play). I had a sailor school uniform on!! Totally AWESOME!!
Sayuri, Mikina, Setsuko, Sachiko and Yuuka.. Thank u! <3

Tonight.. I'm gonna watch Friends with Benefits, starring J. Timberlake and M. Kunis.
Heard it's good!! I hope so too (^^;;)

    Much to do...

These days I have lots to study, law is not easy however it is interesting!! I'll try to do my best! I have been reading my books since I woke up and it's not easy, the words in the law book is greek to me! It's old style Swedish, I have to think soo much before I understand what it means!! :S
Today me and my dad went out for a walk around the block, he has not been out since he had his accident. He broke his leg...
Anyway he made it!! I'm really proud of him ;)

Since he is broken I need to help him alot, since mum is gone this and next week for work, I have to cook, clean etc. I feel like a maid :P Since I also have school it's difficult. But I'm doing my best (^0^;;)

Tomorrow's my mums b-day... but before celebrating I'll meet my cousin at my fave café in Stockholm!!
I'm looking forward seeing her.. ^^

Today's song: 성시경(Sung Si Kyung) - Even now

    Trial in Norway...

So the trial in Norway against Anders B. Breivik will begin on Monday, the 19th.
First it was said that journalists will be let in, however they are no allowed to write about anything they have heard inside...
However it were changed to a closed court process due to various reasons.

I think it's both good and bad. However if it would have had been an open court Anders B. Breivik would probably used it as his stage.. after all he has planned his actions for 9 years!
This time he will be alone and he will have to take responsibility for his actions!

VG.no also posted an article with a photo from the government's own CC. In the photo you can see Anders B. Breivik run away from the bomb car.

There was also an article about his lawyer, Geir Lippestad. He was interviewed for a TV show here in Stockholm last week, he talked about how it has been for him and his family.
He said that he has 7 children, 2 of them are physical disabled.. he said that the day he decided to take the case he, his wife and the children who was at home slept in the same room.
He also said that his children and family has not suffered because of the job he has taken on.
He also mentioned that Anders B. Breivik reads book, he wants to play videogames, but is so far not allowed. Also that they have spoken about that he might be sentenced to lifetime in prision, he is aware of it however he has not spoken much about it.

Trial begins on Monday... we have to wait and see..

    Support Marching J

Marching J has taken a new step.
Today they put up videos on JE for purchase. There are several movies, some have more some only have one.
Each movie cost 315 jpy (aprox 4.1 USD). JE accept overseas issued cards, visa, mastercard etc.
I loved the Arashi video, I loved them reading, the setting.. all!!
Worth every single penny, also of the 315jpy, 200jpy goes to chairty and as you know.. if you follow the news from Japan they need your help!

    Spice up the gray days..

Autumn season is here.. and well the days are getting darker and gray here in Sweden.
Most people too wear dark clothes and start to be depressed! Who wouldn't be?
Then Korean girl group 카라(KARA) does their comeback with a wonderful song "Step". It's filled with colours to spice up the gray days!!
The lyrics are fine..music too.. I love the beat and all the colours that comes out, the girls are shining!!

Even Ryan Seacrest mentioned this song on his blog... he even said that KARA could be the new hit in the US.. wow..

    Today's song: 카라 - Step

I wonder what I'm paying for...

During the past week the public transportation has not been too good, there seems to ALWAYS be something going on with the green line in our Underground system. Seriously that is probably the most used line!!
I really hate it when the reason is "short of staff".
Why? well.. yesterday I saw this digital commercial boards, it reminds me of Korea.
It's cool and all, however I know deep inside, that they won't last more than 1-2 months..if we are lucky!
Swedish people can't let it be, someone is going to vandalise it or do something to it so it will break!
And.. SL (the ones who runs our pt).. just increased all the prices, and if the new digital boards are the reason I will be pissed!!
    Instead.. hire some more staff!!

And the funny thing is that Swedish people NEVER says anything, we just smile and let it pass!
We don't like to have a conflict!!
I mean in Seoul or Tokyo it could never work.. It'd be chaos!! Yesterday it felt like I was back in Asia because the underground cars were jammed!!

Also the Swedish tv is not better... I have so many channels but I can't find many shows I like!!
Instead I see commercial for the shows with Fredrik & Filip and Erik & Mackan and other stupid shows.
For some reason they are popular in my country, but I don't see it.
For me they are loud and ugly and have NOTHING to come with.
Okay F & F have some small moments now and then, still.. they think too much of themselves and that's why I can't stand them.
And the other two weirdos.. they get paid to travel around the world doing crazy things...
After that we have all the "real housewives of XX" or some other kind of reality show..
Can I ask.. WHY?? Who cares if a housewife in US buy expensive things like it's nothing? or that she goes to a hairdresser and pay a stupid amount for the small change?
Even the Swedish shows.. Swedish people who goes to Thailand to get plastic surgery because it's cheaper there...
    Where is the world heading???
If I were a CEO I'd never sponsor their shows!!
Of course there are some shows I follow, but the only "show" I really follow are the daily news!!
I think I have been in Asia too long, because I prefere the Asian shows much more than Western ones...!! (like I said there are great Western shows too.. however Swedish tv doesn't want to show them..only a few)

Today's song: 박명수 & 지드래곤 Feat. 박봄 - 나 바람났어 (Park Myeong Soo & GD feat Park Bom - I cheated)

    Stressed??.. yes abit

So I'm studying commcercial law these days at Uppsala University.
A nice univ and a good professor, however there are these questions for each class and they are not small!
I have no idea how to handle these...and according to my professor, if we know these questions we will pass the exam!
Am I stressed? YES abit.. I'll have no weekends or sleep until these are done...
    Please let me cry
Tomorrow I'm free so I'll stay home and study!!
    Today's song: YUI - Green a.live
I really like this song.. I heard that YUI wrote this after the 3/11 earthquake...
    Release in 3 weeks
